The next day at 9:00 pm Ester and Jack are camping out on the roof of an abandoned workshop
Jack's POV
"I'm pooped" Ester groans. A hovercar whizzes by on the streets below.
In the distance I here a very faint crack, then a snap, then footsteps coming closer and closer as the sound gets louder and louder, tick... tick... tick...
"Ester get your gun out." I tell her as I take out my AK48 from my bag as the steps continue. tick... tick... tick...
"Show yourself!" I yell.
Narrator's POV
A high pitched voice is heard in the shadows, " And why should I do that, Mister Runaway Jack West,(hee he he he hee) "
"How do you know his name!" Ester yells at where the voice came from.
A petite old man steps out of the shadows.
"Of course I would know the name of my own son!"
BLACK SCREEN...
Hee hee! You know how they always do this in TV shows and anime and stuff? Ha ha! XD Okay, so back to the story!
BLACK SCREEN STOPS
"Of course I would know the name of my own son!" he says.
"Your son? What?!" Ester cries.
"That's right, Jack, or, should I say, Squad 42, unit 247RXV, deserter number 774. Also jack here are your stats: strength 445, speed 455, intelligence 944, power 500, and endurance 800. As you can see little girl I know everything there is to know about Jack."
Ester turns to Jack. "Jack, is what he's saying true?" she asks quietly.
Jack clenches his hand into a fist and looks away as he quietly admits "yes, unfortunately ester it is true."
But, that isn't all I'm here to tell you, in fact I'm here to issue an order to you Jack. at the coordinates X247.Y79.Z44. there is a creature that has emerged from the gaps in the earth." the man continues " If you can defeat the creature I will remove the bomb implanted in your back. Oh, and also you are allowed to have this girl with you if you want." the old man reaches into his pocket and takes out a crumpled up paper,"catch." he says as he throws the paper at Jack, "also here this will help." the man takes out a rather large box from his jacket and slides it to Ester's feet. Then the man turns and jumps off the side of the building.
"what's on the note?" Ester asks.
"lets find out" Jack answers as he uncrumples the small piece of paper.
