Tower of Champions and Guardians

Artemis and her new Ghost travelled for three days, unlike Nieva Artemis didn't have a Sparrow- a bike like machine that let guardians travel faster- so the days went slowly. The town's destruction haunted Artemis, Nieva's last words kept repeating in Artemis' head, Artemis would get to the Last City and find Ikora Ray. Artemis remembered what she had heard of Ikora and the Tower, Ikora was a Warlock and she was the Warlock representative in the Vanguard- the Guardians' leaders- she was incredibly smart and was known to doubt the Speaker, the Tower on the other hand was just the guardians' headquarters, there they could rest, show what they found and they could get whatever they needed like weapons, armor or just new items to wear- hunters have cloaks, warlocks use bonds in their left arm and Titans use marks, a piece of cloth beneath their hips- and in another way the Tower was a symbol of the almost forgotten hope that's were their guardians readied to defend them.

Artemis and Ghost arrived to an old factory that had a very heavy security system with many biometrics and turrets for those that weren't welcome. Artemis put her hand in a small screen and hoped for the best, the doors opened and they entered, lights began to emerge from the roof and uncovered a very large subterranean base with a lot of weapons, armor, cloaks a ship and three Sparrows. "Amazing." Murmured Artemis, the first thing they had to do was grabbing some weapons and armor for their trip to the Tower Artemis grabbed a light armor and a white long cloak, then they activated the ship- Artemis had the basics on piloting a ship but Ghost then implanted the more complicated things in her head- and then lifted off towards the Tower and the Last City on Earth.

As they arrived to the Tower Artemis asked another huntress where were the Vanguard, "Just go straight down those stairs, I'm going there myself so I'll acompany you. By the way, we didn't introduced ourselves, my name is Eris Morn, what's yours?" Eris asked lighty.

"I am Artemis-7, though I've been thinking to change my name." Artemis said

"Is that so? What name is it?" Eris asked

"Nieva Rain." Artemis answered.

"It's a nice name" Eris replied

They went down the stairs and met two hunters, a blue, young exo who introduced himelf as Cayde-6 and an older man called Andal Brask as they were chatting and greeted Eris and introduced themselves to Artemis. Andal is the current Hunter Vanguard Mentor, he was sure, strong willed and really bold. Cayde was very different, he was very nsure yet he enjoyed field work, he was very eager for his next mission, he also mentioned that he was a gambler, this was pretty obvious because of his shoulder pads having a white spade each.

Then Eris and Artemis went to Ikora Ray, the Warlock Vanguard Mentor, "Good morning Eris, and who is the one that is accompanying you?"

"Good morning Ikora, this is Nieva Rain," Artemis looked at Eris puzzled, Eris just turned to her and winked, "Everything is ready, we just have to find him." 'What are they planning?'Artemis thought, it was very shady at that.

"Perfect, better find him fast. And you?" Ikora turned to Artemis, Artemis was a bit nervous and just got out the hand cannon giving it to Ikora. She was shocked "That's what happened, now i see why you decided to call yourself Nieva and not Artemis." Artemis' eyes went wide with shock, how did she know Artemis'name, who was she? "I see that you re a bit shocked, Nieva told me about you and Mara but, why didn't she come back, she knew her ghost would bring her back."

Artemis was struck with realization, Guardians were undead warriors, they were chosen by their ghost and were filled with light. "She couldn't come back" a familiar voice said, Ghost materialized and started telling what had happened a few days ago, after Nieva and the other Guardian, Jacob, arrived the town was already being destroyed by a double incusion, Hive and Fallen were there trying to find something and began fighting each other putting the people in the middle of the fight. Omnigul, a Hive Wizard (though it was odd they were called wizards since they were all female), appeared and attacked Jacob, then she attacked Nieva. Nieva was able to doge Omnigu's blasts but Omnigul was able to hit her, then Omnigul created a wierd sphere of Darkness that took almost all of Nieva's light. Then the Hive and Fallen were so decimted that they retreated, Nieva told Ghost that if anyone had survived that he should help the one arrive to the tower.

It was a shock for everyone, Nieva was forever gone and she instructed Ghost to take the survivors to the Tower but Artemis was the only one to have survived the catastrophe.Ghost also inquired the fact that Artemis was an anomaly in the system, she was able to use light without being revived by Ghost, Artemis could be a guardian without dying first. This amazed Ikora and asked Artemis if she wanted to join the ranks of the guardians, "I will," Artemis said, "but I will no longer be Artemis-7, I want to honor my friends, I shall be Nieva Rain from now on."
