Ameera's POV
"Maryam I don't want to repeat myself. The faster we leave here the better.  We are in DANGER" he said as he stressed the last word.
Then everything sunk in. I dashed upstairs brought out my travelling bag and just dropped in anything I could find. I was usually conscious of anything I wore anytime I was out, but this case was different.
When I got back down with my bag, my mom and dad we already there waiting for me. "All set?" my dad asked and I shook my head. We were already heading out when I realized that Sa'ad was still with us. "Sa'ad maybe you should get going, I'll call you later" I told him.
"Okay. I'll be expecting your call" he said and he said his salaams and left in his car.
We all sat in the car in silence as we headed to someplace I probably haven't been before. I wanted to talk and ask where we were going but I couldn't and I didn't know why.
After what seemed like four hours and I starting to feel hungry I decided to be the one to break the silence. "Dad please is there any place we can stop to eat, am really starting to get hungry" I said.
"I am so sorry Ameera but we can't stop by anywhere. We have to get to where we are going before the sun goes down" he replied. "Why dad? " I said as I groaned. "Stop asking questions you can see I am driving Ameera. I already told you I can't stop anywhere or else we would be late".
"Mum do something" I said as I groaned again. "Habibti (my beloved for female) you heard your father, you just have to wait a little more we are almost there" .
I signed and I decided to just sleep till we get to wherever we were heading to. After about one hour and I couldn't sleep, I decided to quit trying to sleep and just stay awake.
After what seemed like eternity we pulled up in front of a building. A really tall one I would say probably an hotel. I got out from the car and dragged my bag as we all headed to the reception.
The receptionist seemed like a really nice woman. Her name was Karen as I could make it out from the tag on her cloth. She handed my dad the key to our room and we headed upstairs.
By the time we made it to our suite, I was already famished and tired . "Dad please where is my room" I asked and he pointed to a room with a brown door.
The room looked nice. Exactly how I pictured it to be, i thought as I made my way to the bathroom. I needed a hot shower so I would be able to sleep because I was stressed out.
I dipped my legs in first before my whole body as I entered letting it do its  wonders to my body.
When I was done and dressed, I went out of the room to see if there was any food because I was really hungry. I found lots and loads of foods on the table and I went to sit. My mom was probably in her room because I couldn't find her anywhere and my dad was on the sofa reading some files I guess.
I wanted to ask all the questions that I had been dying to ask since morning but I decided to let it go for now. Maybe tomorrow I'll ask him, food comes first at this point I thought to myself.
"MOM can I start eating because am really hungry and I don't think I can wait any longer" I asked.
"Sure habibti, you can. I will join you once am done" she replied. I rolled up the sleeves of my nightie and sat comfortably before I started with the food. I was sitting opposite my dad. He was still engrossed in his files but I was watching him.
When I got tired of watching him, I focused now fully on my food. By the time I was done with it, my dad was on the phone with someone. I headed to my room. As I was about to go in, I heard a part of his conversation that seemed to catch my interest.
"Some people were trailing us" he gasped. "Oh my god, no this can't be happening. That means they are still on our tail right?" he asked whoever he was speaking with. "So you mean now that this particular place is no longer safe". He mumbled some more things I couldn't hear before he dropped his phone.
"MARYAM, AMEERA" he shouted. I made my way to meet him where he was sitting on the sofa, and I faced him. Then I saw that same look, the one on his face when he barged into the house earlier.
Fear and panic, which were already gone when we entered the suite earlier.
