Ameera's POV
We are leaving for home tomorrow Alhamdullilah, I hope all this problem has been solved that's why we are leaving, I thought as I packed my clothes.
When I was done, I went down to the car and had to wait for my parents for like 10 minutes before they came to meet me in the car.
This car was different from the one we brought. This one was grey. I enjoyed it as I enjoyed the other ones. I decided not to sleep and just enjoy the scenery.
We got back home late in the evening. Everywhere looked quiet and different as we entered. As I made my way inside, I shrieked.
Oh my god!!! I gasped as I looked round and my eyes became more clear. "Ameera what's wrong?", my dad said as he rushed inside. When he saw what I was looking at he gasped as he said "Ya Allah".
When my mom entered she did the same too but with a horrified look on her face. The house looked as if it had been ransacked. Everywhere was topsy-turvy. Everywhere was scattered.
"Habibti, we can't stay here." my mom said after her mind had processed all she saw. "We need somewhere safe" she said.
As we were still processing all that was happening, all of us still rooted to the floor. There was a knock on the door. I turned around to check who it was, it was Sa'ad.
Sa'ad, oh my God. He is here. How am I going to tell him. Ya Allah please help me. I thought still staying in the same spot I had been for a while now.
"As Salaamu Alaykum" he said still outside. "WA alaykum Salam" We all replied. My parents left us to talk and as they were leaving, my mom said " you'll have to tell him now habibti, it's now or never".
I became tensed as I walked to him.
****************
"How are you?" he asked as I got nearer to him. "I am fine, thank you. How are you too?" I asked. "Alhamdullilah" he replied.
"So how did you know I was home?" I asked trying to make a conversation. He looked distantly before he shrugged and replied " I just had a feeling you would be home".
"Okay--" I said. "I came to tell you something" he said. "Sure, go on" I replied. "I don't think we can get married anymore " he said bluntly.
What!!! No. What was he saying. "What!!!! No. Why are you saying this" I said, getting ready to cry. "It can't work Ameera. Us we can't work".
"So you never loved me, so you were just using me all these time and I was the moron falling for you right?" I asked already crying.
"No, no. It's not like that Ameera. I really do love you" he said biting his lips I guess to stop him from crying. "Then if you do love me, why are you leaving me then,?" I asked already half shouting still crying.
I knew he was about to cry to but I couldn't care less. "I am so sorry Ameera, I can't tell you anything." he said.
"What. Are you all people kidding me right now first it's my dad now you" I said pointing at him.
"I really want to say something but I can't. It's for your safety. I'll do anything for you" he said already crying as he sat on the floor with his head in his hands.
"if you do love me, why can't you just run away with me to somewhere safe, then we'll be together." I said before coming to his level.
"No Ameera, please don't make this hard for me, please we can't get engaged" he said.
"I thought we were going to fight this together and you were supposed to stand by me. I hate you" I shouted before I left him there on the floor still kneeling.**************
