"Uh.. Hello? Hello, hello?" The phone answered by itself. Mark furrowed his brow as he sat down his bag.
"Hi, I'm phone guy. Pleasure to meet you, I'd like to leave a few quick words," Mark took a seat in his chair. He knew what to do, he didn't need some stupid phone robot to tell him what to do.
"Scott's friends can be a bit.. active," Mark sighs, clicking some things on the computer.
"Blah blah blah, that's completely absurd," he rolls his eyes. Mark clicked on different camera settings, making sure not one camera was left unchecked.
To be honest, the animatronics kind of freaked him out a little. They were basically humans in robot form. He hated bringing his daughters, Winter and Ariel, here to eat because they freaked him out so much. (A/N: His daughters come to be an important part of the story later on, so just roll with it.)
He turned back to look at them, sleeping on the floor. He hated to bring them to work with him, especially at midnight, but he didn't have any other choice.
--
Scott stood in his spot, and he opened his eyes, hearing movement in the restaurant. His darted back and forth quickly as he stood still, only blinking occasionally.
"Mitch, Kirstie," he whispered. "Time to get ready."
Mitch's eyes opened slowly, moving back and forth slowly to work out the kinks in his back. "Midnight already?"
Kirstie giggled, already wide awake. "Time to play!"
Scott raised up his arms, a slow clinking noise ringing out. "I heard they hired a new guy. It's his first day."
Kirstie turned her head to the hallway, jerking her body forward. The hallway led to Pirates' Cove, where Avi was located. He'd love to play with the new guy.
"We should go get Avi," Kirstie says, moving one leg forward.
--
Marks eyes grew wide as he saw Scott-- whose eyes had recently been closed-- looking at him.
'They must be malfunctioning.' He thought to himself, switching to a different camera.
He saw Pirates' Cove. Avi was shut out behind a curtain in his own space. Nothing weird going on there.
He flipped over to the prize corner, where Kevin stood behind the counter. His eyes were closed, like they should be, and he was bent forward, powered down.
'So Scott's the only one?' He wondered to himself.
He switched back to the main camera, and now saw that Mitch had his eyes open as well, his head cocked to the side.
Mark let out a scared noise, jumping in his seat.
"Something weird is going on.."
