Broken and Bleeding

Sitting on her bed,
Tears drying upon her face,
She grabs the blade,
Asking for forgiveness.

She stretches out her leg,
Slowly dragging the blade across her skin,
The blood beading immediately.
She sighs with relief.

Two months,
Too long without.
The release lifts the weight,
That rested upon her shoulders.

Yet,
As much relief that's felt,
She knows she's broken,
And once again bleeding.
