I watched the two men trading suitcases full of heroine from the shadows. They shook hands, and if you looked closely, you could see one of them giving me a subtle nod. I nodded back, and he left the dark alley.
The other one, John Mikes as I'd been told earlier, started walking away quickly from the valley. Running away. Huh. That was all they were good for.
I pulled out my knife from my combat boots, and aimed it just an inch from where the man would be standing in a minute.
I waited for 20 seconds and threw the knife at my aim.
Perfect.
It landed just where I wanted it to be. Just an inch from the man.
He froze.
I chuckled.
"Wh-who are you? Sh-show yourself!"
I let out a cold laugh.
"The company's hiring pansies these days....can't even talk properly!"
"Sh-show yourself! Who a-are you? What do you want fr-from m-me?"
I stepped out of the shadows.
"Hmm....let's answer your questions, shall we? I'm The Dark. I'm sure you know what I want from you, don't you, honey?"
His eyes grew wide with fear, "Pl-please, don't kill me. I have a wife, I have children at home! Please let m-me live!" He begged me.
Hmm interesting. Looks like The Company sent a newbie. Oh well, their loss.
"Shouldn't you have thought of that before you got yourself mixed up in this mess, hmm?"
I pulled out my gun from my belt and loaded at him.
I looked back up at him and grinned.
He was trying to run away as fast as he could, his suitcase laying forgotten on the street.
You can run, sugar, but you can't escape me.
I fired my gun at him, and the bullet hit him in straight in the back of his head.
He was dead within 30 seconds.
I signed the initials of my worldwide known identity, The Dark, beside his dead body with his blood, picked up the suitcase from the road, and walked out of the valley.
Mission accomplished.
