I waited patiently at the airport as I fixed my wig.
I was going to London today to guard those boys of One Direction. I was to terminate anyone of The Company found to threaten them.
I brushed the bangs out of my eyes. I was now sporting dark brown hair and blue eyes. To be even more careful, I was wearing a black hoodie with the hood up so it was covering most of my face. I must look like a sight to the others.
"Flight EK-21 will be boarding in five minutes" A woman's voice rang throughout the airport. I stood up as I gathered my bags full of weapons. Thank God for Boss. He pulled his strings and now I had a passport saying that I was Dana Mayson, an FBI agent.
I went up to the counter and showed the counter woman my passport. I could see a look of fear and respect flicker through the young woman's face. She motioned for me to pass through hastily, not even bothering to do a security check. It wasn't like she needed it to know that I had weapons with me.
I entered the plane and a flight attendance showed me to my seat. He was a fairly young man who attempted to flirt with me, the key word being 'attempted.' I scrunched up my nose as I resisted the urge to kick him where the sun didn't shine. The counter agent from earlier came into the plane and saw him trying his flirting skills on me. She must have noticed my expression as she abruptly pulled him to the side and whispered something in his ears, The man's eyes widened as he looked at me fearfully, and then with a "Sorry, Ma'am" he hastily made his exit. I mentally grinned.
The woman turned towards me woth an apologetic smile, "Sorry, Ma'am, he's new here. It won't happen again."
I snapped in an icy tone, "See that it doesn't."
She flinched, but covered it up quickly with another apologetic smilw, and made her exit too.
I grinned as I plugged my headphones, in.
4 hours later:
"Passengers, this is your Captain speaking. We will be landing in 5 minutes. Please fasten your seatbelts and thank you for flying with us."
15 minutes later, I walked into the airport after doing all the routine check, and looked around for any sign of my name. A man named Paul Higgins was supposed to pick me up. He was the Head of the Security of One Direction, and only he, with a selected few others, knew about me.
I looked around again and sure enough, there was a tall burly man who was holding a large piece of paper with my name on it.
I walked over to him and asked quietly, "Mr. Higgins?"
He nodded his head as he answered, "Yes. Are you Faye Daniels."
"Yes."
He then motioned for me to follow him as he made his way over to a black car. I pulled my hood down even lower as I followed him.
"You're staying at the hotel the lads are staying in," he informed me as he climbed into the driver's seat.
"Of course."
The ride back to the hotel was spent in silence, the only sound coming from the car's radio.
Within 20 minutes, we pulled up in front of a fancy looking hotel.
Well, they are a world famous boyband, of course they are staying in a fancy hotel
I ignored the bitter voice inside my head and looked around for any sign of trouble. The parking lot looked empty.
"The fans don't know that the lads are here yet," Mr. Higgins explained.
I nodded as we entered the hotel and signed into the hotel at the front desk. I signed in as Faye Daniels, a photographer. Speaking of, I needed to dispose of my passport that I just used in the airport. You can never be too careful, after all.
The receptionist handed me the keys to my rooms and I thanked her. My room was on 14th floor.
"The lads are staying on the same floor. Their room number's 1406, just four rooms after yours," Paul told me as we made our way into the elevator.
"Okay."
He smiled, "Don't talk much, do you?"
I answered queitly, "Not really."
He didn't say anything else, just smiled again.
The elevator's door flew open as we reached our floor. My room wasn't far away from the elevator. I unlocked the door with my key. Just as I was about to enter, Mr. Higgins spoke up, "Do you know about the boys? Like what they like to do, and what kind of people they really are?"
I frowned, "Not exactly. I was told about this assignment last night and I didn't have enough time to research them."
He had a surprised look on his face, "You need to research the boys? Don't all the teeange girls know about One Direction?"
He might not have meant it in a offending manner, but it sure sounded like it.
I put as much venom as I could muster into my words as I hissed quietly, "You're forgetting that I'm the Head Assassin of The Alliance. I don't have time to fawn upon boy bands."
"Oh," was his oh so eloquent response.
"Do you need anything else, Mr. Higgins?" I asked as I waited for him to leave.
"No. I'll just go now. Here's my number if you need anything," He handed me his card as he made his way towards another room; One Direction's room from what I could see.
I took my phone out, typed in his number and saved it as I made my way into my room.
The room was huge and beautiful. Their management sure didn't hold back on money. I set my bags on the bed as I worked to get my guns and knives out.
I could already tell that it was going to be an interesting assignment.
