"i just don't get it, you know?" michael said as he was laying down on the floor beside calum's bed. "like why would he even want to talk to me? it's like someone is forcing him to and i don't like the thought of that."
michael had gone to calum's house after he left school. calum was very sick, but it didn't bother nor worry michael. he wouldn't mind actually getting sick, since for him it just meant he would actually have a reason not to go to school. besides, all that calum had was a small cold and a fever so it's not like it would get any worse than that.

"i don't know either" calum whispered out, his voice horse and exhausted.
michael only sighed at the answer, knowing that him trying to make conversation was useless since calum obviously wasn't in the mood to talk, nor could he really either.

"maybe i should just leave? it's pretty obvious you need to rest, babe" michael said, his voice naturally soft and warm, kind of welcoming, in a way. "no, stay" was all that calum managed to get out, but it was enough to convince michael not to go anywhere. he wouldn't have had anywhere much better to go, anyway. so, instead he crawled in bed with calum, reaching his arms around the kiwi boy's torso and held him close, his lips brushing agains calum's shoulder as he tried to get comfortable in the not all too big bed.
the touch made calum shiver, so michael just placed a gentle kiss where his lips had previously been. it only made calum shiver even more, though michael just smiled at it.
michael found everything calum did cute or nice in some way. he wasn't really sure why himself, since he knew that what he felt towards calum was only friendly love. yet, he found calum adorable in every way possible.

michael had left calum's house later that night so that calum could get all of the rest he needed to recover as soon as possible. being in school without the only friend you actually have wasn't very fun, though michael knew he would have to go through a few not so fun days since calum probably wouldn't recover in any less than a few days, so all he had to do was live with it for now.

michael is also currently haunting for jobs, being desperate since he has bills to pay every month for the apartment he lives in. michael has only had a few jobs here and there since he got in his own, and they all did him good while he had them. though, right now he is living off of money that his aunt is giving him. she's an lady in her mid 50s that lives in melbourne, not very found of michael but also not willing to just ignore his existence like his mum did. after he had gotten thrown out of the house he lived in with his mum, michael had to convince his aunt to give him a small amount of money each month so that he could just survive. it took a lot of talking to convince her, but eventually she agreed to it and michael is very thankful for that she did. if it wasn't for the long distance between her and michael, he would've probably have moved in with her.

michael was on his way home and passed target, but instead of just walking past it he decided to go inside and see if he could find something that could make him good.
it was just about past 7 pm and target wasn't very crowded at all, in fact, there were barely any people there at all. though, it still wasn't empty and even the thought of that was enough to get michael nervous.
michael hated how anxious he got in social situations, it has stopped him from doing a lot of things he might've been able to do if he just were normal. sighing, michael automatically walked to the hair colour area, it being the area he probably visited the most when he was in stores.

michael has had a few hair colours the past few years, but recently have been re dying his hair black every time the colour has started to fade. it's a colour he's comfortable with, for some unknown reason. he wasn't even sure himself, but he knew that he was. also, michael thinks it fit's him.
there aren't a lot of things michael can see as positive with himself, but michael definitely likes his hair, and at least that's something.
michael picked up the cheapest box of black hair colour, it being the only thing he, at the moment, could afford. he hesitated on if he should buy it or not, asking himself if it would be a waste of money or not. though, michael ended up buying it anyway, deciding his hair needed to be refreshed. michael's current hair colour was fading to a dark brown and it didn't look very good, at least not in michaels opinion.

in order to get to the checkout michael would have to pass the food section, and just the thought of it itself gave michael anxiety.
michael didn't want to have to feel any compulsion to buy something he really shouldn't buy, because michael didn't need food, at least not more of it than his body needed to simply survive. for now, that is.

michael squeezed his eyes shut and tried calming down as he walked towards the checkout.

just calm the fuck down, michael told himself. why did he get so worked up by this? he didn't want to. all he wanted to do was to pay for the hair dye and go home.
in just the matter of a few minutes, michael arrived at the checkout and unconsciously let out a breath he didn't even know he was holding in.

stop acting like a baby and leave, michael thought and nodded to himself. he probably looked crazy, nodding to himself. all for the sake of adding to his charm. letting out an annoyed sigh, michael took his spot at the short line to the checkout and payed when it was his turn to do so.
he put the hair dye in a small plastic bag and then tightened his arms around his fragile body as he walked out of the store, his hoodie barely being enough to keep him warm, though it was better than just walking around in a t-shirt.

he soon arrived home and let out a breath as he entered his small apartment, the warm air hit him as soon as he stepped inside and he relaxed at the feeling.
michael eventually bent down to undo his shoes and put them aside, then walked into his apartment and straight to his bedroom. he dropped down on his bed and sighed, feeling all of the tired feelings he's been putting aside all day creep up on him, and eventually he fell asleep.

i have absolutely no excuse for this chapter taking me three month to write. nor do i have an excuse for it being short and boring. i am sorry. enjoy anyway.
