Oh so Ruby was her name, interesting, I shrugged my lips and nodded my head, while thinking to myself. Jordan then lead us to the back room where all the boxýeditryyilt up merchandise was, he showed us where to clock-in and clock-out for when we got to work and when we were leaving.
8:56am
Some guy comes running in the front doors "Hey Jordan sorry I'm late!, the traffic was brutal this morning" this guy was saying. He had long brown hair, kinda like a surfer guy from those movies. You know, the ones who say " those waves were knarley dude". He then looked at me and Ruby and smiled and said "what's up guys, I'm guessing yall are knew, I'm Gabriel by the way." He said as he reached his hand out to offer a shake. I quickly slid mine out of my pocket and greeted him telling him my name, Ruby did the same.
At first Ruby seemed really shy, and me with my oober personality i couldnt stand all the quietness. " So Ruby how old are you?" i asked her, with a big smile. lol
she looked at me kind of caught off guard, " hehe Im 19 what about you?" she giggled as she responded.
"oh cool me too =]" As conversation grew on i got to know her little by little, she lived in Austin actually a few blocks from the mall, she had 2 cats, her parents were split and she lived with her mom since she is going to school and working. She has an older sister who just moved out with her husband and lets see.. what else did she say.. oh ya she liked music and poetry, she seemed very calm and collect. very cool, im used to all my drama loving friends!
We were both folding all the unraveled clothing, the ones that people pick up and then just throw them back, since they think they are just the shit and too lazy to put them back!! I guess i was the same way when ever i go into clothes stores, now that im the one picking up the mess it kinda makes me feel bad for those workers.. definately sympothize now...
2pm
grrrrrgllle...ugh my stomach was making noises.... i tottaly forgot that i skipped lunch today... I couldnt belive the day went by so quick, my schedule was weird since I was only part time i took advantage of the hours i got. I didnt want to miss just for lunch i decided i will just go whenever i get off work and grab something. I saw The other employees coming in for their shifts i guess it was time to go already thank gosh. now i can go grub on some of that chinese food in the food court. Ruby was was clocking out and i followed her to do the same, as i got behind her she twisted her head around to leave, gush of the smell of her shampoo blew in my face as i inhailed i had to catch my breath it made me go in a daze.. she smelt soo wonderful like a spring garden full of roses.. kinda weird.. ya i know... before she left i called her name
"Ruby!" omgee what did i just do that for???? she turned around " Ya whats up karlee?" ummm what do i tell her now? " Uhmm, do You wanna catch a bite to eat with me? i kindaaa dont want to go alone!"
that was a total lie since i am brave enough to do alot of things alone. but she doesnt need to know that, i really would just want her company.
"Yea sure, why not I have to wait for my sister to get out of work to pick me up anyways so i was just going to walk around."
I smiled " okay cool lets go" i put my card back after i clocked out and we walked out and headed to the food court.
"So your sister is going to pick you up?" i asked curiously.
"Ya she works down the road at that new insurance place, she said she would pick me up and take me home since right now i dont have a car, Im working on getting one soon.."
" Well if you want i can take you home after we get done, you dont live far anyways, and im headed that direction so it woulnt be a problem." i offered.
" really? are you sure?" she asked with a big smile.
"Ya its not a problem" as i winked at her response. that was awkward. but she blushed that was the weirder part.. lol...
She didnt eat at lunch either so she was hungry also. we decided on the Panda Express.. not to mention i Love the eggrolls there. so that was definately something i was getting on my tray and the sweet and sour chicken! yum... we got our plates and sat down at a table both of us both facing the big flat screen hanging in the air showing MTV. Even though i really didnt pay attention to it since i was to distracted listening to Ruby telling me about her life, which made me really interested for some reason.
