I wake up the next day, bright sunlight being the first thing I see, making my eyes hurt. How could I have fallen asleep when I've been kidnapped? Great me!
Only now are the features of the room more visible. I turn around and find that Jacob and Emily are missing. I get up, my neck paining because of the absence of a pillow. I look around me, but they're no where to be seen.
"Jake, Emily?", I call out as I pace around wondering what to do.
No reply. I decide to look around the huge room, filled with things.
I pass many boxes (gosh what's this guys obsession with boxes?), sheets, plastic covers, trash cans and finally, under a shelter, very unprofessionally made of asbestos, I find them.
I turn around to see a man, sitting at a chair right at the entrance, dozed, in deep slumber. Didn't remember seeing him there last night!
"God, you got me so worried!", I whisper, as I run toward Jake and Emily and shake them awake.
Jake immediately gets up, screaming, slapping me square on the face, and ready to land another slap before figuring out it is me.
"Oh god Sue, I'm so sorry, I thought you were someone else-"
"Would you shut up? You're gonna wake up the dude there!", I whisper back, a tone of annoyance very evident. "Also, that really hurt!"
I turn to see that he's thankfully not woken up by the commotion.
"I stayed awake the entire night, looking after you two, you know, and you were obviously not caring at all about the current situation, but too worried about your beauty sleep", Jake groans as he shoves Emily, who was already awake.
She looks at me once, sleep very apparent in her eyes; a smile curves in the edge of her mouth.
"He can be a huge fusser.", she says, giggling at me. "I'm Emily by the way.", she says, holding her hand out.
It's the first time we've spoken, insipte of us being in the same room for an entire night.
"Hi I'm Sue", I say shaking her hand.
"I've heard a lot about you from my brother.", she says.
"Okay guys there's someone there at that door and we need to do something to get out of here", I say as we begin to think of ways to slip out.

***
"Look we know he's asleep, why don't we just sneak out?!", Jake suggests, which is when I enlighten him upon the fact that the door's locked.
"I've looked around and there's honestly no other escape route, I guess we'll just have to wait this one out", I say.
"I'm gonna keep looking, you're in charge of Emily", Jake says, as he gets up, determined to find a way out.
Moments pass and all of a sudden, something overcomes me. An idea lighting the wick of my candle of evilness.
"While we're here do you wanna make yourself useful rather than waiting instead?", I ask Emily.
"What do you mean?"
"Do you wanna play a prank on him?", I ask, smirking at her, signalling to the guard at the door, still slumbering.
"Um.. why would I want to prank someone now? I'm dying of starvation! And I can't think of anything but getting out of here."
"Isn't that the point though? To get out of here. The only way out is by letting him know we're awake, and there's no point trying to break out. I've looked him through, he's got no keys on him!", I say, persisting.

"How about I scream at the top of my voice?"

"That would do it too, but if we're going to have to wake him up anyway, why not have some fun while we're at it?"

"No", Emily says firmly.

"Please??"

"Ok,... as long as I don't get screamed at. If Jacob finds out, which he obviously will, I could be in big trouble, not like I'm not already. It's just that he can get pretty violent at times".
I look at her in surprise. Jake the gentleman- violent? That too to his younger sister, the descendant of an angle?
"Oh I didn't know...", I say.
I walk around the room for a while before I spot just the right thing to help wake (and bring as much trauma to) him. I walk up to one of the boxes and pick out an unused tube of toothpaste. I open it, revealing its pungent and rotten smell. How old is this thing?
"Come here" I whisper to her as she looks at the object in my hand, a smile growing on her face. "Look around and tell me if you find anything,a bit sharp.",I say.
I go through a few more boxes and pick out a paint brush and a few rubber bands.
I creep back to Mr. Sleeping guard guy and start out my plan. I draw two eyebrows and a moustache using toothpaste. Soon Emily comes back with a box of pins, really small ones.
"This place is a whole supermarket in it! Of course, there isn't any food.", she says, handing me the box.
I squeeze out the remaining toothpaste on to his hand and I take a pin out of the box and place it right on top of the pool of toothpaste. I tie up parts of his hair into small pigtails and step back to take in the very amusing sight.
I find myself a baseball bat and prepare myself for what's to come.
"Apparatus set, now watch and be blown away.",I say to a scared and excited Emily, contemplating on whether or not common sense is really common anymore.
I take the paintbrush and tickle him on the cheek. He twitches a bit. I tickle him again. His toothpaste-filled hand rises up as he slaps his cheek, splattering toothpaste all over his face, with the pin poking him right in the cheek.
"AAAAAH", he screams, getting up, while I swing the baseball bat right at him, knocking him out flat.
Emily and I are on the floor weeping, not able to believe that our dumb, non fool proof plan actually worked.
"WHAT THE HELL?", a voice comes from behind us, it's Jake and I'm in trouble.
"I'm sorry. I thought this was the only way out of here!", I wheeze.
"Do you know what you've done?! You're so dumb, this is only gonna make things worse!", He yells.
Immediately the doors of the room fling open, as if instigated by all the commotion inside.
Two men (and I recognize them as the same people from yesterday) walk in.
"Oh finally awake?", Mr. Raisin asks."Go get the boss". He pushes the bulky guy to do so.
"What's with the fancy makeover, dude?", he says, pointing to the guard, first disturbed at the fact that he was passed out, but calming down at the hilarious sight. He starts walking over to Jacob, whose firsts tighten.
Raisin suddenly looks at us. "Ah, aren't they precious?", he says walking over to me and Emily.
Jacob grabs Emily, leaving me completely by myself.
"Haha Jake, a little help here?", I ask, freaking out from the inside.
Don't worry Susan. You have learnt karate before. He can't do anything to you.
And even before the man thinks of doing anything, I punch him, and apparently I'm not the only one who did.
He falls to the ground tending to his jaw and neck.
Jake comes running to me." RUN! NOW!", he screams.
I run toward the door, and just before we can get out,I bump into a big figure, making me fall down.
Don't look up, don't look up, Susan.
"Oh you thought you could escape me", I hear the same deep voice say.
My face lifts to see who it is. Great I looked up!
"WHATTT? Uncle Paul?? You....you did this, what is going on? You...you kidnapped me and my friends? You...I can't even believe it! How could you?! And I used to look up to you. How could you do this? Aren't you a part of the police?", I scream, as tears run down my face, like they're from an open tap.
"You know him?", I hear Jacob say from behind me, completely flabbergasted.
"Susan, what are you doing here?", uncle Paul says turning angry-eyed at his men, who realized they had got the wrong girl.
"You kidnap people? And treat them mercilessly, not even caring to find out whose been kidnapped!", I scream.
He grabs me, holding me tight. I squirm and try my level best to break free.
"Leave her alone!", Jake says, running towards me to help. "You leave her alone!". He punches my uncle right in his stomach.
"Let go! Let go of me.", I kick randomly, very hard and for once, the perks of being small come to use. I slip out of my uncles hand, by biting it hard and run toward Emily, grabbing her and heading to the door. I know Jake is following me. His men are too shocked to react.
I'm fast, but Emily's not fast enough. Jacob catches up, and without a second thought, I lift Emily and fling her towards him.
He catches her like a pro and sprints out.
"Don't just stand there, get them!", I hear my uncle scream.
We exit, to see a long road ahead of us.
"They're gaining on us", I scream as I run faster.
I see a car parked by the side of the road.
"Quick into it!", Jacob signals as I open it and jump into the passenger seat, putting Emily on my lap, and he takes the drivers seat, starting the car.
"Do you even know how to drive Jake?"
"Ummm... lets see. Every fifteen year old has their own drivers license don't they?!"
"Can you just go!"
He accelerates and the car jerks forward and gains the most speed it ever can.
"Your not too bad!", I say, spotting a phone in the front seat.
I grab it and dial my mothers number.
Pick up, mom please!!
And she does.
"Hello?", a voice says.
When a familiar, monotonous tone beats,"Your call cannot be connected due to insufficient balance"
PRAISE THE LORD!!!
