*Trigger: GANGSTA. has lots of triggers, such as drugs, prostitution, gangs, and blood. You have been warned. Leave now if these make you feel uncomfortable!!!
"Ah fuck... I always get these, don't I?" I looked at my scraped-up knees and hands. I tend to work hard running away so much that I don't notice half of my body lingering behind me. This time, they were pretty messed up. Scratches and bruises spotted my arm, and my pants were getting soaked with blood. I don't even remember feeling hurt...
I slowed down and took a detour. I walked down the alley quietly, trying to figure out where I could get help. Help without being noticed, I mean.
I'm not from around the area, so I tried to not make myself comfortable or known. I'm a stray, a street dog, an alien. Nobody cared to look back at me, but everybody wanted to cause trouble with me.
"Hey, you should go see Benriya-san. He's really good at keeping you comfortable."
"What do you mean by 'comfortable'? I don't want anything to do with male prostitutes."
"But, Benriya-san is a real nice dude."
I watched as two women talked about this "Benriya" guy. Even if he was a prostitute or whatever, maybe he could patch me up. I mean, he was a **handyman, right?
I wandered around a bit, looking around to see or hear where this shop was located. A couple of people described the Benriya guy and his "amazing workouts" or whatever. But, I heard nothing else.
"Make sure to give these cigarettes to him. They're cheap, but he likes them."
"Yes, thank you."
"That Benriya-san... Tsk. He's always lazing around and sleepin around. Hopefully Nicolas won't be like him."
"I doubt that. Thank you, Grandma Joel."
The old woman waved away the voluptuous woman. She seemed happy to buy cigarettes for whoever. I approached the old woman in her shop.
"Excuse me!" I called through the open half-door. The old woman popped out and glared at me.
"Who are you? By the way you're dressed, you aren't a prostitute, are you?" She eyed me up and down.
"Um... I wanted to buy those cigarettes. The one you gave her."
The old woman frowned. "Fine. Hand me the money." I gave her a few slips of currency, and she threw me a package. The box was labeled, "Pall Mall."
"Th-thanks..."
Grandma Joel still stared at me while I was walking away. I could feel her eyes as if they were on my own shoulders. "You. Why are you so messed up?"
I turned. "I just got caught in a scramble. I'm just looking for a place to patch me." I smiled, hoping to leave. Grandma Joel shook her head.
"I don't want to hand him a stray, but you should go see Worick. He'll send you to the doctor. I'd take you myself, but I have a business to attend to."
I nodded. "Thank you."
I wandered off. I was still lost, but at least I knew someone might care for me.
"God sent me an angel, Al-chan." The blonde man tried to snuggle up against the tan women, but she slapped him away.
"I just got you some cigarettes. No need to get too close, Worick-san." The tan women turned away and sat on the nearby couch. She crossed her legs and folded her arms.
"Alex-chan, there's no need to get upset. I know we all feel a little lonely." Worick said jokingly.
"I'd rather feel lonely than having you touch me, Worick-san. It's scandalous and unprofessional."
Worick chuckled and looked towards the short man sitting opposite of Alex. "Nicolas, what do you say?"
"I'd like to keep clean also," signed the deaf man. Worick clutched his heart in a dramatic motion.
"My dearest companions have betrayed me. What shall I do now?"
Knock. Knock.
Worick stopped in his dramatic swaying and got up from his chair. He walked towards the door, unlatched it, and peered out. "Hello?" he called.
"Are you Benriya-san?"
I was startled to see such a tall guy open the door. I was expecting some mechanic-guy with a thick mustache and a lack of beauty. This guy was some blond, buff model with a weird eyepatch. He stared back at me.
"Yep. Come in." He stepped out of the way and led me inside.
I saw the girl I had run into at Grandma Joel's shop. And, there was someone else here, too. A short dude with black hair. He looked foreign. I smiled a little inside.
At least I'm not the only alien here.
The blond man leaned forward and did a graceful bow. "Benriya-san at your service. But please, call me Worick."
I looked around the shabby room. It was a little dirty with half-naked posters of women decorating the walls. The people in here were a little suspicious-looking, but why should I say that? I look like I got mauled by a ten-foot pig with horns.
"Okay... If you're Benriya-san, then I have a request."
"And, what should that be?"
I stuck out my arms. "Patch me up."
Why did I say that?
