Ever since that night my relationship with my dad has been bad. Hi I'm Maddie and this is how it all began.
It was a Saturday I woke up before everybody as usual. I laid in my bed thinking about the event that our family would be having today. Once every month our family would get together and have dinner. My uncle was staying with us because he had just come down from New York. I finally got enough energy to get up and do my daily hygiene. Walking in the bathroom I stopped and looked and my reflection in the mirror. I had warm chocolate skin long dark brown hair and unfortunately a full grown body. I felt ugly all anybody ever wanted me for was my body. After about a minute of examining my body I went to take a shower. I usually don't take super long showers but today felt different. After a while I felt like someone was watching me peeking my head out the curtain my eyes landed on my uncle standing in the bathroom doorway
"OMG, what are you doing" I screamed loud enough for him to hear
" I was just about to ask for wash clothes and towels", he replied
Still shaken up it took a while for me to answer " um in the closet right their", I said pointing to the closet in the hallway
Not wanting to take a long shower anymore I cut the water off and got out wrapping my towel around my body and making my way to my room. After a while of searching I decided to wear my new all black shorts a white crop top and my black and white converse high tops. After getting dressed I made my way to the kitchen to fix myself something to eat. Their wasn't much to eat so I settled for a bagel. Then the one person I didn't want to see showed up.
"Couldn't make breakfast for me I like bagels too", he said trying to make me laugh
Not in the mood to joke I gave him a dry reply," nah didn't know you was hungry"
Finishing up my bagel I threw it away and went to wake everybody up it was now time to get ready.
