We were near the basketball courts, when we heard the sound of the intercom crackling on to relay a message. The principle picked up the microphone and, trying to stay calm, said, "Attention, there is an emergency situation going on inside the school, I advise all students to-" there's the sound of a gunshot in background and then another, "-I advise all students to follow their teachers' instructions on how and where to evacuate now." We heard three more gunshots and then a scream, "Ahh! Help! No, ahhh!" *static*

There was a brief moment of absolute silence before al hell broke loose. The halls erupted into a huge mass of students running everywhere, frantically trying to escape the school, which had now become infested by the walking dead corpses known as 'the undead' or simply 'them'.

"We should get to the exit the long way because of the large amounts of students heading the short way. It'll be faster that way." said Cherrish.

His logic was sound, with the massive influx of terrified traffic, it would ultimately slow us down if we went the short way. Knowing this, we decided to go along with his plan, at least for now.

However, I still had my doubts. Something just didn't feel right about this.

I kept my mouth shut on the matter; I'm not sure what compelled me to do so, but I just decided to go with his plan and deal with any problems along the way.

We walked through the halls, Cherrish leading the way, after a few minutes of walking, we stopped and and Cherrish stepped through a door to his right, "Watch out!" I yelled to him, and with all my strength, I swung my bat at one of 'them' just as it was about to take a chunk out of Cherrish's arm. I hit it in the side of it's head; crushing it's skull on impact due to my enhanced strength.

The once walking corpse now lay still, lifeless on the ground. After we confirmed that the rest of the room was clear I spoke up, "What are we doing here, Cherrish?" I said, a little ticked off at the fact that he was slowing our progress to the entrance.

"Looking for supplies and possibly better weapons." he replied. I understood, but I was still annoyed that we were slowed down.

"Would you quit pouting and go look for anything that could be useful." Rose said, pissed off at me, as usual.

"Yeah, yeah, I got it." I said dismissively.

Upon closer inspection, I found out that we were in the school security guard's office. I started searching through the desk in the center of the room and found a safe. I used the crowbar I had found in the janitor's closet to open it, and to my surprise, the safe was relatively easy to pry open. After I had finished opening the safe, I looked inside and found what looked to be a revolver and some extra ammunition. I showed the gun to Cherrish and Rose.

When they saw it Cherrish asked, "What is it?"

"I believe it's a .38 special revolver." I stated, proud that I had found something of such value.

After some discussion, it was decided that I would keep the revolver and ammo, being that I was the one who found it. I said that I would only ever use it in dire situations as a way of conserving what little ammunition that I had obtained from the security guard's safe.

After not finding anything else of much interest, we continued on our way down the hall and, hopefully to the exit.

We ran down the hall leading to the exit until we turned a corner, and there was a horde of 'them'. "Rose, back Cherrish and I up while we beat these guys." I said in a commanding tone of voice, and after a bit of protest, she complied with my order as Cherrish and I charged in and proceeded to beat the living- err non-living shit out of the twenty or so undead walking towards us.
