After weeks Suzume was fownd exhausted, dirty, hungry and dying by a cave. A man took her back to the academy and they took care of her. They never told her who her was or why but she wasent so curious.
She soon got better and continued on with her life. Everyday there were tuders to teach her different things she didn't understand.
but she was broken, inside and out. They would never be able to give her what she wanted so dearly. So why do they ask?
- 11 years later-
"Suzume!"
"Suzume"
Suzume. Was that her name? These days she didn't care enough to remember. But each day she replays the memory of that dark night, and the mans eyes.
He wasn't human. She knew that for a fact.
BANG!
Suzume leaped up from her chair instantly, bracing herself for a fight when she realized that the teacher had hit her table with a ruler.
"You will stay behind at the end of class and do your work then, since you think your abliged to sleep in class just cause your the founders daughter" the teacher says with a husky voice.
Thats right. Im the fownders daughter. Even more reason for them to trap you here. She thought to herself and sat down.
Suzume never liked this school but it was the only place she could go. She had no other family. Although Suzume is planning to escape but every plan she can think of involves another person. No one is game enough to leave.
As the teacher spoke to the class Suzume saw no use in paying attention if she was staying behind. Instead she examined the marble floor, its mixed colors, the faded blue walls, until her attention eventually fell onto the beautiful blossoming cherry blossom outside. It seemed to calm her. But it was a constant reminder she had never left the school. Not once. They wont let her, but why?
She toyed with her hair that she let run free, it was long and for some unnatural reason it was a teal color, she was born with it but she never understood it. And her eyes. It took her almost a year to discover that her eyes were similar to the thing that had...killed...her mother.
How am I similar. How can I be similar? She thought deeply.
Maybe she got the eyes from her father. Her mother certainly didn't have those eyes but if it came from her father. What was he? And what does that make her?
She had to find the truth, the truth of who that thing was, what her father is, what she is, if there are more of them. There was one thing she new though. She had to get out. No matter what.
Suzumes attention returned to the teacher, there was someone out front with her.
She had never seen him before. Hes wearing a black hooded cloak and dark brown hair, so dark it was almost black, he had strong features and soft eyes, he was actually quite hansome but there is no way he was 16, he looks 18 at least and hes nearly 6'7.
She remained unsmiling as she met his gaze, he looked sad almost empty. He ran his fingers through his hair, his cloak opening up a little just enough for suzume to see a belt, it had a knife or a katana, either way. Then the cloak closed back up.
He turned away from her gaze.
The harsh teachers voice cut through her daze like a knife. "This is Hanate. He is going to attend our school from now on."
Hanate. That name sounds so familiar. He approched a spare desk which was right in front of her. He sat cooly and he crosses his legs on the table.
Hanate looked at her for a breif moment. His eyes. There her eyes. Who is he?
