When I first saw her it was after school. My friend Rodney's girlfriend needed help unloading a cow into her fridge. I remember thinking that was the weirdest shit I had ever been asked to do, but, whatever. So Derek, Devontae, me and Rodney headed over to her house.
When we got there Rodney knocked on the door and when it was opened I met the most beautiful girl I'd ever layer my eyes on. She wore a volleyball t-shirt and some nike girl athletic shorts. She had to be at least 5'9 and was built like an athlete. Her eyes were this strange but alluring shade of green. Her hair was pulled back into a ponytail into a ponytail that for some reason I liked more than any curly haired girl I'd ever seen.
Just as I was about to introduce myself Rodney went
"Well this is a cute love at first sight moment at all, but I'd prefer to go inside considering its hot as shit out here"
"Really, do you have to curse in every sentence?" Was the first thing I heard her say while Derek and Tae laughed. Her voice was hypnotic and pleasing to the ear, it made me wonder if she could sing to be honest.
"Shut up asshole," I said to Rodney, to her I said " hey I'm Jay, nice to meet you"
She giggled before responding, and, to be completely honest that was the ugliest giggle is ever heard.... Well maybe not, our friend Lucy had a realllllly ugly laugh. Everybody else had already started helping load the fridge. I was waiting for the answer when Laura, Rodney's girlfriend, said
"Ugh Layla you and Jay need to come help us too"
So her name was Layla hmmm.
