5 hours later, 4 bars down. It was quarter to 11.

"Baby you light up my world like nobody else, the way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed, but when you smile at the ground it ain't hard to tell you don't know-oh-oh, YOU DON'T KNOW YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL!" The six of them sang, out of tune and all over the place, and danced away.

"ALFIE..ALFIE!" Zoe shouted on top of the music.

"YEAH?!" Alfie shouted back,

"LET'S GET ANOTHER ROUND IN"

"OKAY!"

So the two scampered off to the bar whilst the other four sat back down in their booth. Louise peered around the booth to see the other two at the bar ordering drinks before turning back to the rest of the group. "Is it just me or have them two been flirting outrageously with eachother all night?!" she exclaimed.

"I know, right! That's exactly what I was saying to Marcus!" Naomi agreed.

"See, I don't know guys. I don't know if that's just them.. or if they are actually flirting. I can't tell."

"Shhtp." Matt discretely said, noticing they were on their way back.

"Here you go guys.." Alfie said propping the drinks on the table. He sat down next to Marcus, and Zoe sat next to him. His hand was lightly grazing Zoe's thigh.

Alfie went to take a sip of his drink, which was currently full to the brim, but before he could get his lips to the drink Marcus prodded him in his sides, tickling him causing his drink to go everywhere! "MARCUS, you absolute dick!" he said wiping his dripping wet arms on Marcus' jeans. "I can't believe you just did that!" he shook his head at Marcus who was curled up laughing.

Alfie looked to his right to see an unhappy Zoe who's whole left side was covered in sticky coke."MARCUS!!" she screamed. Marcus looked up still laughing attempting to say sorry. This just made everyone else laugh more.

"Zo, just go use the hand dryer in the toilets." Alfie suggested. She got up and fled to the bathroom and Alfie did the same to clean himself up, jokingly punching Marcus as he left the booth.

Alfie hung around outside when he'd sorted himself out and waited for Zoe. When she came out he tried hard to keep a straight face but the corners of his mouth gave way into a cheeky laugh. "Oi, don't laugh, it's not funny!" Zoe pleaded, lightly punching Alfie in the chest, but ended up laughing herself. "I cannot believe he did that!"

"Nor me haha." Alfie, who was propped up against a wall, said. He tugged Zoe in by the waist and brought her in for a hug. As he brought her in closer he snapped out of it, breaking the moment and said to Zoe "Shall we go back in then?"

"Actually Alfie, I think i'm going to go back to the hotel.. i'm a bit uncomfortable in these clothes now."

"Yeah that's fine. I'll come with.. let me go and tell the others." Alfie went off and came back soon after. They hailed a cab and went back to the hotel. He walked Zoe back to her room with intentions of going back to his straight after, but Zoe asked "Are you coming in, or?"

"Ur, yeah I can do. Sure, for a bit." he grinned.

Zoe changed her clothes in a pair of leggings and a t-shirt. They sat on the end of the bed, with the music channel on TV.

"Better now ey, now you're out of your wet clothes?" Alfie said, looking at Zoe with his crooked smile.

"Yeah, much better. Ha. Glad to be back now, I was absolutley shattered to be honest."

"Yeah, and me" Alfie said, stretching placing his hand back down just behind Zoe's back. They were silent for a few minutes just watching whatever was on the TV. Alfie was gently playing with the hem of Zoe's t-shirt.

"So urm, Zo'" he began.

"Yeah" She replied.

"We've been having a lot of urm, moments lately."

"We have?"

"Don't act like you've not noticed."

"I haven-" Alfie shot her a look. "Okay, alright yeah, I suppose we have."

"Well urm.. we ur" he said, moving barely a centimeter closer, not enough to make a difference, but just enough to make an impact.

"Alfie, we're both pretty drunk.." Zoe said, stopping him in his tracks clear of his intentions.

"I'm not that drunk and I know you aren't either."

"But you know, we're best friends. Just friends.."

"Uh-huh" Alfie murmured.

"We shou- we can't though"

"Why?" Alfie whispered.

"Because we're just friends.." she said barely a whisper back.

"But.. let's not pretend that this isn't making our hearts beat just that tiny bit faster.." Alfie said, looking downwards.

"Uh-h" Zoe responded.

"And let's not deny the fact that we-" he took a breath; his eyes locked on her lips.

"Yeah?" she gulped.

"that we, have both been dying to do all the things to eachother tonight that we've been thinking of since we met." he said, spacing every word with a breath. His eyes looked up from her lips and met her own.

"Mm," she murmured.

"And let us just face the fact that this is something that can't be ignored."

Zoe's POV

Alfie leaned in for the kiss. The adrenaline started pumping. He cupped my face in his hands and brushed his lips just gently across mine, only what I could describe as a sweet prelude of what was to come. He teased the corners of my mouth, gently, he was a good kisser. I wanted more, and there I grabbed the sides of his face for now we were moving as one. He took my mouth into his, placing more pressure with each stroke. We tumbled to the side, both letting out slight moans; gasping for more. My heart jumped has he stroked his hand up my leg, and circled my inner thigh. My heart continued to race; partly because it felt good and also because of the scary new territory.. Was this right, was this me and Alfie? His hand found it's way around the waistband of my leggings.

I heard a knock on the door but Alfie, caught up in the moment, hadn't seemed to notice. I pushed his hand away as he tugged at the brim of my underwear. He looked at me, confused.

"Zoe?" Marcus asked, "is Alfie in there.. he's not answering."

"Ur, yeah yeah he is, he's urm asleep.." she lied nudging Alfie to pretend to be asleep. She got up, flustered, adjusted herself and went to the door and opened it. "If i wake him you can walk him back!"

"Alright."

'Phew' Zoe said to herself as she turned to Alfie. She 'woke him up' said goodnight avoiding eye contact and he left with Marcus. She flopped down on the bed, shocked at what just happened but couldn't help but smile to herself. Me and Alfie Deyes.. well I never! She thought to herself.
