Jordan's P.O.V
The start of the storm.
This damn GPS never works!! Global Plotting System my ass. It's not even showing my car in the right place!! I was thinking to myself as I was trying to set the GPS to take me to my brother's house for Thanksgiving.I don't know what I was expecting...but I definitely was not expecting this GPS to be a piece of garbage I paid sixty dollars for.
Sighing, I just gave up and used the road signs, I knew they were more helpful than a clump of fancy garbage with a microchip. "Note to self: Never listen to advertisements on the radio for a 'SPECTACULAR GPS!' or anything." Note taken I agreed with myself.
I talked to myself quite a bit...mainly to make self notes. It worked, what else would I need other than my head? Nothing. That's the whole point.
As I was driving, a whole field of clouds rolled in. A thunderstorm. Great. Or so...I assumed it was a thunderstorm. I was wrong.

Three Hours Later...
The storm had become horrible. What I thought was a thunderstorm was instead a snow storm.I could barely see anything out of my windshield...that's how heavy and thick the snow was. I kept my windshield wipers on non-stop for what felt like ages.
So far as I could tell, I was the only one to be out on the road. It was slick and I had to pull over to get my snow chains on my tires before I continued any further.
I reached into the truck of my car to retrieve the tire chains. Once I had them in my hand, I quickly attached them to my tires so I could retreat to the warmth of a running car.
With the chains securely on my tires, I slowly pulled out back onto the road and began driving cautiously with my windshield wipers on full blast to get rid of the snowflakes that continuosly fell and blocked my field of vision.
I groaned. "This is ridiculous! It's November for pete sake!" I shout to no one but myself. I kept dtiving and saw a curve ahead. I turned with the curve of the road and hit a sheet of black ice.
I lost control of my car and went spinning into the shoulder. "WHAT THE FUCK!!!" I yelled. They were supposed to have signs to warn drivers of black ice. I checked my battery on my car...great...battery's dead now.
Then I checked my phone...which was also dead. I hadn't thought to bring my portable charger. I rolled my eyes and got out of the car.
I got into my trunk and pulled on some heavier set winter gear and began walking with my backpack and suitcase.
