"...hello?", the unfamiliar voice answered.

"I-I-Its been a while! You never answered my phone calls! How has it been?", I answer the simple greeting with excitement.

"..."

"Hello?", I ask in confusion.

"Yes"

My eyebrows furrowed up like dead bugs.

"Are you okay...?", I ask hesitantly.

"Mmhmm", the person on the other line hums.

"Are you sure?", I question again.

"No, not really", the voice responds shortly.

"Why?! Is everything okay? Did something happen all these past years?", I attack with questions.

The large creature huffed and created a smog of white, it was quite chilly with all the snow around. The animal walked around until it heard something in the distance. Ears perked up and swiveled around, trying to hone in on the source.

The creature pawed at the snow-flooded ground, the rough pads easily crumbling the snow apart underneath it,

There! There it was again!

The animal was soon bounding past the ancient willows and an assortment of creatures- both prey and predator the like- yet the creature had no need to care and continued rushing past.

It seemed to almost fly with grace, the pads it comes naturally equipped with not needing to crush against the cold snow.

It was near! It can feel it!

The skin stretched around its' mouth and seemed to almost create a... Smile?

She had nothing to lose- other than maybe her life. Even then, what was the point? Dreams, careers, all the makeshift things they create did not matter anymore, or at least, she did not care anymore.

She stood feeling the breeze come through and brush against her, seemingly to push her forward and taunt her. 'I dare you to look down', the wind whispered to her.

She listened and leaned over the edge where she was sitting and a few rocks crumbled beneath her, singing a patting song as they fell down, down, down...

Splash! The crescendo of the faint music.

Why did I need to live? I am a burden, and if someone had the chance to get rid of a burden, they would take it.

She tipped over the edge with a smile breezing onto her face. Yet as the wind slashed past her body, memories flashed across her mind- good ones- laughing, singing, things she liked to do, along with a mental picture of her family. Did they all really love her? She could see the smiles, they were not fake. How come she felt this way? Did she not appreciate the small happy moments she remembers?

'Yes, I do, and I would give anything to feel happy', she told herself in her mind. But to feel happy, she would have to continue living. It was then, falling, she decided she wanted to live with a passion.

The moonless night washed over the land with darkness, clouds hiding away the bright stars with nothing to protect the lightly dancing trees.

The young boy traveled into the woods, leaves crunching and sticks breaking at his noisy arrival, he had no fear. The boy had no fear because his friends told him they do not fear. He looked up to the friends in the forest. They were quickly seen as they appeared with a gathering mist.

A transparent blue glowing rabbit. He may have scared anyone else for appearing from no where. To the boy? He just thought he was a fluffy little thing. Soon, the little glowing rabbit starting hopping around the little boy, mesmerizing him and making him laugh.

Next, a see-through blue stag appeared, the mighty appearance of him would terrify any person of norm out of their wits. To the boy? The stag would let him ride around on his back, making the boy smile with joy as the stag ran through the dark forest with the rabbit tailing close behind.

Lastly, a glowing blue bear would join the charge of no destination- his strength rivaling against many men. Even then, to the boy? Sometimes he would lay with the bear, cuddling with him and his friend would lick him as a mother would to her cub, the bear's luminescence keeping the darkness at bay and illuminating the forest of green as the three animals eyes' shone with the intelligence the boy would never know.

Still, the boy laughed joyfully with his friends. Cried with them. Tantrums thrown about. Yet they stayed with the boy through the thin.... as well as the thick.
