A 13 year old boy named Finn was a very lonely kid with no friends. His mother ignored him. She was way too busy saving up money from working at two jobs. Finn's only friend was his dog Jake. After a few years, Jake died of old age. Finn was so depressed to the point he tried to commit suicide from an overdose. Instead of suicide, he fell into a coma. The doctors geared he would never wake up from it, but they were unfortunately correct. Finn lied in hospital, having fantasy dreams about princesses and the ice king. He had many adventures with his dead dog, Jake. Jake had a girlfriend named Lady Rainicorn, who only spoke Korean and Jake was the only one who could understand her. Finn always used to tell Jake these dreams. The show plot, as you can see, is based off of his dreams.
