I wake up to the sound of my alarm clock going off. My eyes open groggily and I move over to the other side of my bed. I groan when I shut the alarm clock off, and get off of my bed.
"Uuuuuuuggggghhhhhhhhh I don't wanna go to school!" I say to myself. "Stupid asshole kids at school I hate them."
I grab my grey striped shirt, black pants, and my tennis shoes and put them on. I look over at the clock.
7:56 AM.
Dammit! I'm going to be late for school! I get my bag and run out the door.
I get to the bus stop just in time. I bend over, getting my breath back in its rhythm. I look up to see kids in the bus, and they all look at me. I get my Percy Jackson book off the ground, and walk in.
"Thanks, sir," I say quietly and go to sit down in the back of the bus. The bus driver starts driving before I get to the back, so I fall. My stuff drop to the ground. The kids laugh.
"Haha! Hey nerd! Hope you don't go to the dumps today!" I hear Jordyn say. I look behind me and see her blond hair near my face.
"..." I stay silent and purse my lips. I reach out my hand to grab my notebook, but Jordyn grabs my hair and pulls me on my feet.
"Little Miss Nerd here is staying silent, now?" she asks. I continue to stay silent. "Do you want to go to.... them?"
My eyes widen. Not them. They are the jocks that beat me if I don't talk. I don't know what they want with me. I stay silent.
"Oh Brady!~" Jordyn says, waving one of the jocks over. He comes to Jordyn. His light brown hair flops in his eyes and I roll my eyes.
"C-can't I just g-get my stuff?" I ask. They laugh. Brady shakes his head.
"Not until we get to school," Brady says. He pulls my hair and I yelp. The entire bus laughs."Oh, Gweny, I thought that you weren't talking today," Jordyn says. "Changed your mind?~"
"Don't call me that!" I yell and slap Brady's hand. I turn around when he lets go and I face Jordyn.
"My name is Gwen," I say as I reach down at get my stuff together. I run out of the bus when it stops at Ridgefield High School. I run to my locker and yank it open.

Ring
RingI run outside the school, my black hair flying behind me. I hug my book to my chest and look at the bus. I see Jordyn and Brady inside. I back away, shaking my head.
"Oh, Gwen!~" I hear Kristi, Jordyn's friend, say behind me. I turn around. "Why do you listen to those emo bands? They promote suicide, you slut."
"... They don't," I say. I turn around and run off. I'd rather be at home listening to My Chemical Romance than sitting at school, with people. I turn around the block and trip over something.
"Ugh!" I say as I turn around, everything on the sidewalk. I hear kids coming towards the street I'm on, so I pick everything from my bag up, not paying attention that I pick up a book that's not mine.
I get up, clutch my bag straps together, and run off. I quickly get inside my house, which is a few blocks away, and shut the door.
I go to my room and throw my bag on my bed. I groan and I look through it, looking for my planner where I write down my homework. I soon find a book.
"Fairy Tales and Folklore," I say as I read the heading. "Stories of princesses and princes and Peter Pan how fun."
I sit down, and start reading.
