//Paisley's P.O.V//

Time flies when you are being annoyed by one of God's marvellous creations.

It was already Friday which means that next week was the last week before term break. Holidays people!!! Woohoo! Its going to be so much fun... But, sadly, we still have about a week to go.

Leo has been over at my house for a week and I don't quite know why, I mean, he has a house of his own. Whatever, I ain't complaining... Much.

Anyway, school had just finished for the day so Scarlet and I were headed for dancing. It was a lovely, silent walk which was soon destroyed as we entered the studio.

The music was blaring loudly and I was pumped, loud music always gets me hyped. Already in our attire, Scarlet and I placed our bags in a corner before making our way over to the group.

"Alright! Hey there ladies! So, as you all would know, the Dance Battle is right around the corner and, thankfully, you all have learnt the dance quickly which means lessons will be spent polishing and organising costumes. This is going to be great! Positions, lets get into it!" Aleisha chirped, jumping up and down before fist pumping the air. Laughing, we all moved to our starting formation.

So, the whole lesson was spent, as mentioned before, polishing up any imperfections within the dance. Thank god we can just wear sports bras and sweats because, seriously, the amount of energy and the amount of time we put into this dance pays off well. By the time the lesson is over, every single body in that room is drenched in sweat and gasping for air. But its worth it, the dance looks amazing.

About an hour later, the lesson was over and I got a lift home from Royce. Yayy! Once again, it was silent but not in an awkward way. It was nice and peaceful, just the way I like it.

Once we arrived at the house, I thanked Royce before heading inside. Leo was nowhere in sight, probably at soccer practise. Peace at last!

I jogged up the stairs, into my room, and chucked my bag on my bed before jogging back down into the kitchen. I opened the pantry, nothing there and by nothing I mean that there is food but I don't want to eat that. Closing the pantry door, I opened the fridge doors. Again, "nothing".

Sighing, I closed the doors slowly before turning to face the counter. I smiled as I saw the fruit bowl with beautiful apples in it. Walking over, I grabbed the biggest, crunchiest apple that was there and did the twisty thing to the stem. Allow me to explain...

So what you do is when you have an apple, you know the brown stem that pokes out the top of it? You twist that whilst saying the alphabet and whatever letter it snaps at is apparently supposed to be the first initial of a guy/girl you will marry. Simple? Great. Call me crazy but I still do it.

Twisting the stem, I say the alphabet in my head. A b c d... Still going... E f g h... Still going... I j k l... SNAP! Crap, it landed on L, I predicted this. The world is trying to tell me something, it must be against me.

Throwing the stem behind me, I hopped up to sit on the counter and began to eat my apple. It was very uncomfortable for some reason, I always do this and I never had a problem.

Jumping back off, I saw paperwork just sitting there, it looked intense with the amount of writing it had. I picked them all up and walked over to the dining table to put them down. As I put them down, the first things I read was that it had something to do with the court, a helluva lot of money and custody of children.

Letting curiosity kill a cat, I picked up the first sheet and read through it, nothing interesting at all, it made no sense. So I moved onto the second one, same thing. I grabbed the third one and once I had finished reading it, I gasped and dropped my apple in absolute shock. What the fuck?! No.

Leaving the apple on the floor, I roughly took the papers off the table and stormed to the office room, papers tightly in hand. Thank god its Friday, mum doesn't work late on Friday and the only place she could be was in the office. Casually walking in, I stood beside the chair and decided the hide the papers behind my back. Mum turned her head and smiled.

"Hey there! I didn't hear you come in, what's up?" She beamed, turning back to her typing. I took a deep breath.

"Oh you know, I was just eating my apple happily when I came across these!" I whipped the papers from behind my back, putting them quite close to mums face. She turned her head again and, once she saw what I was holding, her eyes widened. She then looked up at me, pained.

"Paisley..."

"No mum! You and dad are divorcing and you haven't even told Royce and I, your own children! How long has this been happening?!" I interrupted angrily, mum had tears filling her eyes.

"Oh you don't want to know." She said barley above a whisper. Getting more mad and upset by the minute, I spoke up again.

"Why are you guys divorcing anyway?! What was wrong with your relationship?!"

"You don't understand!" Mum stated, her voice rising too.

"Oh I think I..."

"No you don't Paisley! Your father and I are divorcing for a very good reason! Tell me, have you ever thought about where he is?! Where he has been all this time?!" Mum stood up aggressively and started yelling, tears streaming down her face.

"Dad works away, we all know that!" I mean, it's pretty obvious. He told us too. Mum ran a hand roughly through her hair, shaking her head.

"Do you want me to tell you the truth?! Your father has been seeing another woman! Your father hasn't been away overseas working, he is having an affair with one of his co-workers! Now do you understand why I am divorcing him?! Is that up to your standards Paisley?!" As mum told the information, I froze all over.

My dad has been cheating with mum all this time? For, what, about one year?

I felt myself heat up with pure hatred and anger, tears swam their way to my eyes. I dropped the papers (it's a good thing they were clipped together) and ran out the office and up the stairs, straight to Royce's room.

I heard the car keys jingle and the door open and close. Mum has gone to cool down, pull herself together.

Once Royce saw me, he let go of his gaming control before briskly making his way over to me. I fell to my knees onto the carpet, sobbing uncontrollably, Royce came down in front of me.

"Paisley?! What the fuck happened?! Are you ok?! Are you hurt?!" Royce panicked, grabbing both my shoulders. Trying to gather my shit together, I finally spoke.

"It's mum and dad! They're divorcing Royce and it's all dads fault!" I tried not to scream, Royce looked shocked as fuck.

"H-how is it dads fault?"

"You know how dad said that he won't be home much because his work involved going overseas a lot?" Royce nodded slowly.

"Well, he was lying Royce! He hasn't been overseas once, instead, he has been cheating on mum the whole time! With one of his stupid co-workers!" I burst out into tears again and Royce pulled me into a tight hug, rubbing my back to try calm me down. Trembling, I hugged him back.

Royce was telling me that it was going to be ok and that he won't let dad come near us. Even though he was trying to be tough, I could hear some sniffles here and there which meant he was crying too. What dad has done is something only a fucking idiot would do. If he thinks he can just walk into our house to see us after his "work", he is going to get one helluva shock.

After a while, I decided to go for a shower before going to climb out my window and sit on the roof. It's were I go whenever I am sad, angry, with friends or bored. Basically all the time.

Just you wait bastard...
