//Paisley's P.O.V//

Leo was knocking on the door, time for me to go!

Leo was taking me out for the day to cheer me up and, to be honest, that is so sweet of him! I could literally just kiss him... But I won't! I gotta keep my chill.

I opened the door to a smiling Leo who took my hand and practically dragged me out my room at top speed. He told me that Royce was telling our mothers about Scarlet and he didn't want me to hear. I definitely didn't want to hear...

Truly, this is the saddest I have ever been in my life and, I know, it probably sounds really dramatic but, to me, I didn't just lose my best friend. I lost my sister. My other half. My partner in crime. My angel/devil. My girl. Basically my everything! And, this might be taken the wrong way, but even Leo who is insisting to take me out and make me "happy" isn't working. I really don't want to let him down... Though there is a part of me that still has faith. That part of me doesn't believe that Scarlet is dead and, usually, I push the thought away but it always comes back stronger.

Anyway, once we got to the lobby, we continued our mad dash and as soon as we got out the hotel, we immediately began to walk slowly and leisurely, my hand still firmly in his.

After a few minutes of walking, we stopped at a cute little pancake-aria for breakfast and basically just stuffed our faces with the most amazing pancakes ever! We also did "here comes the airplane" to each other and earned ourselves some pretty interesting stares, but oh well! It didn't phase us, we are used to being weird with each other.

"Paisley, I have a challenge for you" Leo announced suddenly, stirring his milkshake with his straw. His eyes held a rather mischievous glint. After taking a sip of my drink, I cautiously pushed it out the way and leaned forward.

"And what may that challenge be, Mr Writte" I responded "professionally" which made him giggle. God that giggle really could cure the deaf...

"Well, it's a very... Uhh... Challenging challenge! Are you sure you're up for it?" He took a long drink from his milkshake, not taking his eyes off me.

"Pfft! I can take on any challenge Leo, you know that! So, come on, tell me?" I dramatically flipped my hair off my shoulder. Leo leaned back in his chair, a smirk gradually making its way on his lips.

"I challenge you to be my girlfriend for the day!" My eyes widened to the point where it felt like my eyes were bound to roll out of their socket and, as usual, I had liquid in my mouth and ended up almost chocking.

"Your wh-what?!" I spluttered, wiping the pink liquid off my mouth.

"I thought you could take on any challenge Paisley, are you lying to me?" This time, the smirk was definitely visible. I really need to learn how to keep my mouth shut!

"Fine fine fine! But on one condition... No  extreme kissing! It can be a peck, but no more." I wagged my finger in Leo's face.

"Fine by me!" Leo leaned forward again and stuck his hand out for me to shake, which I did.

After our entertaining breakfast, we had officially begun our challenge, how joyful?

Leo got up, paid for the food and came back telling me to get up, taking my hand in the process. We walked and walked and walked and walked, just browsing... Well, I just didn't want to wast Leo's money and, soon enough, he caught on.

"Buy something Paisley!" He bumped my shoulder with his.

"Leo, you are not wasting your money on me and that's final!"

"Who says it's wasting? Babe, you're going to get something and, no matter how many times you tell me, I refuse to listen to you! If you don't hurry up and choose, I swear to god, I will dump your ass in a shop, all by yourself, and lock you in there until you have picked something and that's final!" Leo continued to huff and puff like a child who wasn't getting their way.

"Are you finished with your temper tantrum?" I booped his nose (had to go on my tippy-toes, ugh!) and he just frowned, not answering.

As we were walking, I spotted a fortune telling shop and turned to Leo, begging him for a psychic reading. Getting happier, he gave me some money.

"Alright, I'll be back in an hour. Don't wonder off, ok?" Leo stuffed his wallet back in his pocket before leaning down and giving me a kiss. It was only a peck, just as instructed.

"Ok, I won't, I will wait right here for you. I love you!"

"Love you too Pais!" Leo called as he walked off down the street.

I slowly stepped into the building and was warmly greeted by a middle aged woman.

"Welcome, welcome my dear! Please take a seat" she gestured gracefully to the cushioned chairs.

"You have a nice partner... Is he really your lov-"

"Oh, no no no no! He isn't, he is my brothers friend!" I cut in and spoke at top speed, the lady gave me a questioning look.

"He may just be your friend for now, but you guys hold a bright, very close and very loveable relationship. It may not seem like it now but he is deeply in love with you, his mind just hasn't come to realise it yet. Are there any questions you would like to ask?" I thought long and hard, then I came up with the perfect question.

"Well, my best friend supposedly jumped off a balcony at our hotel and killed herself but, for some reason, I don't think that's the case. Every time I doubt that thought it always comes back stronger, so I just want to know if my instinct was significant" I didn't realise I was crying until I felt multiple drops of tears splatter on my leg. The lady gave me a sympathetic look before closing her eyes, raising her hands in the air.

"Hmmm... Your best friend..."

I was on my way to the fortune telling place but, I kinda got lost? I was on the verge of having a major stress attack when I caught the glimpse of a short girl standing by the door. Turning around it was Paisley and I jogged over to her, holding my pocket tightly.

"I am so sorry! I got lost, it's bloody confusing h- is everything alright?" She looked slightly pale and her eyes were very glassy. She didn't answer me, heck, she didn't even look at me. Deciding not to go deeper into the situation right in the middle of the street, I took Paisley's hand and led her back to the hotel.

We entered into the lobby hand headed to the elevators to go back on our floor. After a couple minutes, we walked out and stood in front of Paisley's room and, since I had the key, I unlocked it like a ninja.

Closing the door behind me, I went over to the bed and firmly told Paisley to sit down, which she did, whilst I crouched down in front of her.

"Paisley! Paisley look at me! What happened back there?" She finally looked at me, pained.

"The psychic believes she's dead. I had hope, Leo! I actually convinced myself that Scarlet was still alive and that I would actually get to see her again!" Paisley was trying her hardest to not cry, I could tell by the way she was tensing her body. I put my hands on her shoulders and slid them down her arm reassuringly.

"Paisley, it's ok to cry. Don't hold it in, well, not around me anyway!" As if on cue, she had started to cry. Standing upright now, as did Paisley, she flung her arms around my neck and, naturally, my arms tightly hugged her waist. I rubbed her back and, sometimes, combed my fingers through her beautifully soft hair.

Whilst we were hugging, I thought I had seen a head pop up in front of the balcony before disappearing at the speed of light. At that point, I couldn't really care less!

Paisley is my priority right now.
