Present Strangers POV
As she sat across the club from me I could see her long blonde hair flowing perfectly down her back, the circulating air blowing her hair up every so often. She was alone, had been for a while, and she looked anxious, like she was awaiting someone or something. I continued to watch this young blonde making sure she was safe, while also wondering what she was doing alone in this part of town. Roughly around one o'clock in the morning as the club was starting to become quite empty the large shadow of a man emerged from the darkness of the club, and approached her table. She gave him a bright white toothed smile and stood facing him. She was less then half the height of this man; if he wanted he could pick her up and walk off with no trouble at all. I watched as she quickly scanned the club, making sure the area was clear. What was she hiding, and why was she hiding it?
After thirty seconds she turned back to the large figure and pulled a small bag from her pocket. COCAINE! I thought as soon as the bag was in my view. Why was this young girl dealing drugs? She couldn't be more then twenty-five. Though I wanted to walk over and stop the transaction from happening I stayed idle and watched as it continued. The hand off was quick, and as soon as the bag was in his hand the man examined the bag and payed the young girl. He then escaped through the back of the club. After counting the money she turned and quickly fled the club. I left some money at the bar stool I was sitting on and bolted out the door after her, but by the time I had gotten outside she was gone....I looked down at the ground cursing myself for not being faster and saw the small locket I had seen around her neck. I wasn't sure if it was really hers but I leaned down and picked it up anyways , the metal cold to the touch from the chill of the mid fall night, I sighed knowing this wouldn't give me very much information on her and I wasn't expecting much. When I opened it I saw that this was indeed the young girls locket. I looked for anything to tell me who this girl was. I had almost given up hope when I saw it in the moonlight, a small engraving that said. "To my dearest Maiden, Love Mom."
I walked home that night thoughts racing through my head of who this girl was and what had driven her to do such horrible and dangerous things. As I stepped inside my small apartment I knew that if I didn't find this girl it would haunt me forever. Even though I knew nothing more than a name for her and didn't know anything about her back-round of what she was like, I couldn't shake the feeling that she was actually a great person that needed someone to help her through this time of great need.
