Alright alright alright. How about we all just calm down for one second, and think about how fabulous my life is. Hm?

First off: I still haven't gotten over the freaky dream, which I don't even think was one.

Second off: I have officially became an anti-barney person. There goes my childhood. Thanks dream, stupid dream. Stupid stupid stupid.

Third off: Today is the Prova di valore , cammino di morte.

Say it with me everyone, yay.

I'm not even joking, would somebody please just kill me already.

Oh right I almost forgot, I am most likely gonna be killed today. Damn.

I didn't even know the Barney syndrome existed up till this point in my life. The dinosaur really was just a costume put on by a guy who was probably cursing the whole time he was inside it cause it was so hot and stuffy inside.

Sigh, the good old times.

Up till this point in the story, I feel like I have some serious explaining to do. You see, in this story which I exist in, it is set in a time where only werewolves and humans exist on Earth. There will be no vampires, sadly, and there will be nothing else. Just werewolves that I loathe and humans which is what I am.

The era is way, way, WAYYYYY, into the future where Earth has been rid of all humans' damage, though the technology and infrastructure is still intact and improving, only that we don't use them as large on a scale as we did before. Humans now live in humble cottages and have lush greens right outside not over run by machinery in order to ensure that humans do not make the same mistake of nearly causing the destruction of Earth way back. However, at this point, humans have also evolved with time and even if our environment is back to its original state, we are not back to the time of - cave-manish?

Remember when I said that we didn't use technology and infrastructure as much as we did before. Well, there are times when we still use it, like during the Prova di valore , cammino di morte.

Checking my body armor one last time, I knew that I was good to go. Dressed in stretchable clothing ensured I could move nimbly without any obstruction, with my clothing that is. A single large purple symbol on the front of my shirt with my symbol, a R without the vertical line, written in blue inside was all the colour there was on my clothing. Apart from that, everything was black. Slotting my dagger into my boots, made both for agile movement and security, I remember what my mother had told me when she had given me the dagger on one of my birthdays during my years when she was sure I wasn't clumsy enough to accidentally hurt myself

"To protect you from the danger which may befall you, I hope this dagger keeps you safe, my little one." Her hazel brown eyes staring at me, the twinkle in her eye showing me how much she deeply cared for me.

"Yes mama, I will make sure to knock all the bad guys out with my super, awesome, ninja moves!"My mum only smiled and my dad laughed, ruffling my hair.

"She's sure to grow up to become like you, a brave one." My mother only glared and slapped his arm playfully.

Glancing into the arena, I could already see the thousands of people gathered around it, some of whom were ex-fighters and even more coming in, in the colourful seats that surrounded the soon to be bloody battle grounds. I shivered, the colour of the seats definitely didn't seem fitting to the mood. There was an elevated platform and a throne placed upon it. The king would be sitting there and speculating all the fights, getting the best view of what was happening.
