Halloween Party

A year later finds Eliza Winchester at Stanford University living in her apartment with her boyfriend Bryan Curtis whom she met on her first day at Stanford. At this very moment, they are getting ready to go to a Halloween party and to celebrate Eliza's highest score on her MCAT.

As soon as Bryan found out about the party, he spent most of the day trying to convince Eliza to come with him and to pick out a costume. She didn't really want to go or get dress up in a fancy costume.

She really hated Halloween, because it was the reminder of the life she left behind. What's the point of dressing up in monstrous costumes when you know what's out there Eliza thought? She remembers the looks of her brothers and her father's face the day she got the document that accept her into Stanford University.

Her brothers has pleaded that she did not leave and the disappointment on her father's face as well as her brothers that day she left.

She remembers her father last words to her ringing in her head saying over and over again " If you leave through that front door, don't bother coming back" he yelled at her as she left through the front door with suitcases in hand and that's exactly what Eliza did, she didn't look back once. She never forgotten her father's words for that day. His words stayed with her for a long time.

She understood that her father needed her and her brothers did, but she wanted a new lifestyle. She was tired of fighting the supernatural, the hours of training and living out of motels.

Never staying in the same place or schools for too long. She never made any friends. She was also tired of eating out of restaurants. She finally decided to take control over her life and go to college to become a doctor to help people in need. She wanted to help people in different ways besides killing their ghost or monsters.

Back to the present, a young man with brown hair and blue eyes dress in a vampire costume is standing in front of the mirror checking his appearance while calling

"Eliza".

The two photos sitting on the dresser are of her parents and her with her brothers Sammy and Dean when they were little. She took those photos from her room before leaving home so she would remember what her mother look like before the demon took her way that night. Ever since she left home, she dreams of that night over and over again waking up in cold sweat.

When she turned 23 years old, she started having these promotions dreams that would come true. She also had one where instead of Mary burning on the ceiling; it was her boyfriend Bryan there instead.

It scared her so badly that she made sure that Bryan was safe, going anywhere he went and making sure he came home safe. She mostly had some of their class together, so it made her job easy. Eliza is sitting down in the living of their apartment-dreading going to this party.

She just wanted to spend a nice quiet evening with her boyfriend alone without many people around, but Bryan wanted to go and she could not bring herself to argue about going since he wanted to celebrate her highest score on her MCAT. She studied hard to pass it and now her dreams of becoming a doctor are coming true.

She has a job interview with a hospital Monday morning. She is so proud of her success and so is Bryan. She just wishes she could share her success with her brothers and her father and have them be proud of her instead of hating her for wanting to live a normal life.

Hearing Bryan calling her name, brings her out of her thoughts, she gets up from the couch and heads into their bedroom. "Get a move on will you" Bryan informs her.

"We were supposed to be there like fifteenth minutes ago." Bryan walks away from the mirror getting ready to leave calling "Eliza, you coming or what?" as she peeks around the corner looking into the room saying, "do I have to?" Bryan looks over at his girlfriend-smiling saying, "yes, it'll be fun."
