I was so sad, Jack keeps posting picture of him and Madison. I'm starting to slip back into my old ways of not eating. I have no one to be strong for anymore so what's the point? There was a knock on the door, maybe it's the neighbours' kid asking if I can get his ball for him since it happens almost daily. I open it to Jack's mom. She smiles at me, "Hey Hayden, do you mind if I come in? I made you your favourite dessert." I let her in and she walks into the kitchen to put down the pie, "How've you been sweetheart?" She asks while cutting me a piece of pie. I see the strawberries and rhubarb fall out of the side, "Uh I've been alright." She gives me the slice and a questioned look, "Alright? Honey what's wrong? You can tell me." I take a deep shaky breath, "Well I've been really stressed la-" she cut me off, "No the real truth." I feel my eyes start to get tearful. Then I brake, "Jack and I haven't been the same. He was upset with me the last two months I was there, he left me at a party, he planned a party for another girl the day I was leaving. Now he's posting all of these pictures with her and I don't know what to d-do. All of his fans think they're dating but, him and I never actually broke up. I called him the other day and he seemed distracted but, then I hear her in the background telling him to 'hang up the phone'." She rubbed my shoulder. Then moved a piece of hair out of my face, "I'm sorry honey." I love Jack's mom. Jack's mom, Jack... She grabbed my phone and dials his number, "What're you doing?" "I wanna hear how my son talks to you when it's just you two." He answers, "Hello?" "Uh hey Jack." He waits a second, "Uh hey b-baby what's up?" "I miss you a lot." He takes in a sharp breath, "yeah me toooo." I look a little confused at his mom, "Baby are you okay?" "Mhm" "A-are you sure?" "Y-yes - oh fuck." I clear my throat, "Well I'm just hanging out with your mom so yeah." I hear a lot of commotion, "My mom's there?" "Yeah." "Why didn't you tell me baby? Take me off speaker." I look at her confused, "Why-" "Take me off speaker baby." I did it and now it's just him and I talking, "Am I off speaker now?" "Mhm" "Good, God baby I miss you so much." I gulp down a lump in my throat, "I missy you too." I started to get sad knowing I failed him, "Baby, what's wrong?" I break again, "I'm sorry Jack I broke my promise to you. I went back to my old ways." I hear him sigh out of frustration, "Why baby?" "Because, you didn't want to be with me the whole summer, you've been paying so much attention to Madison, everyone thinks we broke up, I thought you did love me anymore." He sighs again, "Baby how could I not love you?"
