Chapter 4:
The next morning, breakfast consisted of only makeup sex.
Although they never made up...
Apologies were spoken. Not sincerely. But they were said. And that's all Anna needed. Her brain told her no, yet her heart still aggressively craved that the feeling of something, anything, but nothingness, because she learned yesterday that it was better to hurt than feel noting at all.
Out of breath, the two lay in a tangle of pillows and sheets. "I love you." Travis whispered. "No you don't" Anna replied.
After a long amount of silence, Travis pulled out two baggies filled with a white substance. He dumped both of them into lines along the dresser. "You're right" he said. "Huh?" Anna asked, confused. "I don't love you." He blankly replied. And with that, the two pressed a finger against one nostril and placed the other side to the substance, inhaling it all.

Travis left that night. Where? No one knew. And Anna certainly didn't care.
She sat on the edge of the bed, and appeared to be staring at wall. But she wasn't focused on anything outside of her head at the moment. Why did he say those things? Why did he do those things? We did he leave? Why was she still here? Anna's thoughts began to drown her as all the blood in her veins boiled. The plants in the window sill looked of everything she was not. So peaceful, alive, and uncorrupted.... So she grabbed both of them and picking them up as far above her head as possible, she smashed them into the wooden tiled floor causing them to be nothing more than a million scattered pieces.
Although she was out of breath, her eyes remained dry, and once again, not a single tear fell.
One cigarette at a time,
One whole pack at a time,
Anna lost track of the day as it turned to night and she fell asleep in that bed.
Making sure to gargle a swig of Liquor before doing so just to feel the numbness in the back of her throat.
