Over the summer, Lily had gotten a tumblr with the help of Molly who she was secretly hanging out with and talking to. Though nothing like they had been like before, just friends. Rose met another girl, who was probably perfect. She was gorgeous, funny, sweet, and was really great and listening and helping Rose with her problems. Her name was Kanaya. She lived a few states over and her and Rose skyped very often. They were fine and perfect until Rose messed everything up with a horrible comment that left her broken hearted and sad. It was true that near the end of their relationship, Rose had been looking at other girls. It was hard not to being that she was still young and immature and she never got to see her girlfriend in person.

Rose didn't date anyone for a while. It took her quite a bit to get over her and it actually sucked. However, over the year or so of being single, she lost her best friend. And by lost, she dumped that bitch faster than a hot potato. After years of being told what to do and who to like and feeling that every second of her life should be dedicated to making her best friend feel special, Rose was fed up. After a fight the two had about being told how dumb the blonde was, she told her and the other two girls in their clique that she didn't want to be friends anymore. Though it was hard and saddening, Rose soon couldn't feel better than ever. She wore whatever she wanted, was friends with her old "loser" friends again, and was doing what she liked again without any hassle or worry of her 'best friend' disapproving. At this point in time, she had even decided to cut her own hair, despite her mother freaking out.

Around this time, Rose and her mother were walking around before a roller derby game that her mom was playing in and Rose was singing the national anthem to. The older woman introduced Rose as her lesbian daughter at age 15, which made her so happy and excited. Though that was the first and extremely rare event for her mother to say such a nice and accepting thing.

After the drama and sadness of losing her best friend that she had been with since second grade, Rose was finally completely over it and making new friends out the wazoo. She became so open and happy and was extremely just out there and outgoing and confident. It lasted for a while too, having a few bad days were she was so sad that she was thinking horrible thoughts.
