A hurt look washed all over Derek's face as Erica and Boyd told him they were leaving. Even after all the convincing he had in him they just walked out. I could see the world crashing down around him as he tried with all his might to keep it together and to not break. He leaned over the table looking down trying to keep his calm demeanor. I left my spot on the sofa and cautiously approached him. I placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder moving my thumb in circles knowing there wasn't anything I could say to make him feel better. Derek grabbed a piece of broken glass and stared at it for a moment before turning and throwing it at some strange man who stood by the stairs. I looked at Derek who now stood in front of me his body was tense as the strange man spoke. I felt uncomfortable and decided it would be best to give them some space to hatch things out. "I'm gonna go I'll see you later," I told Derek kissing his cheek. I grabbed his hand and forced him to look at me. "I'll be okay," he told me trying to reassure me. He grabbed my waist and pulled me close and kissed my forehead. I pulled away and headed to the door grabbing my black zip up jacket from the stairs. I gave a soft smile to the strange man before I closed the door behind me.
"Hey are you almost here?" Lydia asked as soon as I answered my phone. "Um yea I was just going to run to my house and change," I told her only to be cut off. "No I have clothes for you here so hurry," she said sounding distant. "Alright I'll be there in a second," I said chuckling. I hung up my phone just as Isaac called. "Hey Isaac what's up sorry we haven't had a chance to hang out lately," I told him not giving him the chance to talk. "It's okay I know you have a lot going on," Isaac said half heartedly. "Are you okay?" I asked as I neared Lydia's. "Yea I'm okay I just need some advice and you're one of the very few people I trust," he told me sounding hurt. "Isaac what's going on?" I asked confused. "Boyd and Erica are leaving tonight to the lacrosse game and they want me to go with them but I don't know if I wanna go or stay," Isaac informed me. You could tell he was debating just by the sound of his voice. "Look Isaac you're my best friend so of course I don't want you to go but I know you have to do what's best for you," I told him hoping he'd decide to stay. "You're right Sky thanks," he said sincerely. By now I was pulling into Lydia's driveway. "I'll talk to you later," he said after a long drown out silence. "Isaac I just want you to know that if you decide to leave you'll always be my best friend," I said catching him before he hung up. "Thanks Sky," he said before the line went dead.
I stood in front of the mirror in Lydia's room admiring myself. I was currently wearing a grey have shirt the went a little belly button a pair of denim skinny jeans and black ankle boots with my black leather jacket. I had my hair pulled into a high pony tail and very little make up. "Ready to go?" Lydia asked from the doorway. Lydia wore a white fleece jacket with a thin black belt a black shirt black skinny jeans and black boots.
When we got to the game my mom and stiles dad was already there. Lydia pulled me through the crowd of people up to the stands where my mom and John were. "Good luck," I told Scott loud enough for him to hear.
"Hey mom," I said feeling a bit uneasy about setting next to her. Hesitantly I sat down and prayed she'd say something anything really to let me know how she felt. "Sweetheart look I am so sorry about how I reacted to you and Scott it wasn't fair to either one of you," she said looking at me. I felt tears of joy for in my eyes knowing she wasn't mad. I gave her a hug and turned my attention to the game.
About halfway through the game Isaac made an appearance. "Isaac I'm so glad you decided to stay," I spoke loud enough for him and possibly Scott to hear. Isaac turned and looked at my giving the first real smile I've seen from him in weeks.
As the game carried on I realized Allison wasn't here but her grandfather was. "Where's Allison?" I asked confused. "I don't know she said she had something she had to take care of and wouldn't be able to make it," Lydia said before jumping up to cheer for stiles who had just shot a goal. "Go stiles!" I cheered before pulling out my phone.
      Me to Derek
Me:hey you're okay right?
Derek had replied so i was about to go to his place to look for him. Just as I was about to get up to leave his response came.
Derek: yea I'm okay sorry I was dealing with family stuff
Me:no it's okay I just...I was worried
Derek: don't I'm okay I'll see you after the game
Me: as long as you're okay
Derek: I am I promise
I sat my phone down on my lap and returned my attention to the game. The lights began to go out and everyone started to panic. "Where's Scott?" I asked Danny as I ran onto the field. "Locker room," he said panting. I nodded and took off towards the locker room.
Isaac looked weak hurt. Scott was arguing with Gerard so I took advantage and ran to Isaacs side. "Hey look at me are you okay?" I asked trying to help him up. He nodded and used some of his strength to pull himself up. "Sky get him out of her," Scott said giving me the over protective brother look. I nodded and began to walk.
I carried Isaac out of the locker room and back onto the lacrosse field. I sat him on the bench in the midst of all the craziness. "Has anyone seen my son?" I heard the sheriff tell and then it hit me....Stiles was gone.
