After everything I was so relieved to be home. My mom was at work and Scott was at Allisons so I knew I could actually get a full nights sleep. I slowly opened the front door making sure to lock it behind me. The house felt quite and empty without my mom and Scott. It's crazy knowing how much things have changed over the course of one year.
When I got to my room I switched on the light and sat my purse on the top of my dresser. I slipped off my jacket and through it in the basket that sat in the corner. I opened my dresser drawer and pulled out a pair of purple shorts and a black tank top that hugged my body. I changed out of what I was Wearing and changed into my bed clothes. I then headed to the bathroom and removed all my makeup and pulled my hair into a high pony tail. I then brushed my teeth and headed back into my room. I switched off my lights and crawled into bed. It wasn't long before darkness washed over me.
The next morning I was awoken to the sound of my bedroom window being opened. Tiredly I rolled over and rubbed my eyes.
"Derek?" I said confused. Derek stood infront of my now open window with his head hung low. "Doors Derek normal people use doors," I said sarcastically looking out the window behind him. The sun had barely started to rise over the horizon which left me even more confused. Derek wore his usual leather jacket a grayish green shirt and dark blue jeans. "I'm leaving Sky," Derek said saidly. At his words I say up and grabbed his hand forcing him to look at. "Why?" I asked hoping he'd give me an honest answer. "When I moved her I was only planning on creating a pack that was it I was never intending on getting involved never intending to fall for anyone none of that but then I met you. Last night we heard an alpha pack in the woods and now Erica and Boyd are missing so Isaac and I are leaving to find them," Derek said quickly changing the subject. I stood up from my bed and locked my fingers behind his neck. Derek didn't hesitate to grab my waist and pull me close to him. "I don't want you to go Der but this is your pack your family and I know I can't be selfish with you but promise me you won't forget about me," I told him talking over the now forming lump in my throat. I looked up at Derek and felt his lips crash onto mine. The kiss was filled with more passion and love than any other kiss. When this kiss finally broke I realized that I was actually crying. Derek pulled over to the bed and sat down with me next to him. He pulled out a necklace on a silver chain. The spiral hand off the chain with alpha beta omega engraved into each of the spirals there was also a small wolf charm. "Derek it's beautiful," i told him as he locked the necklace around my neck. "It was my sister Laura's its the last thing i have left of her," I told me standing up. "Why are you giving this to me?" I asked confused. "The necklace is important to me because of my family you're just important to me...plus now that you have the necklace I have a reason to come back," he told me grabbing my hands and pulling me up. "I have to go but I can't leave without saying goodbye to you," he said wrapping his arms around my waist. "I'll see you when you get back and take care of Isaac," I told him. "Isaac wanted to come say goodbye but he thought if he did that he'd never be able to leave," Derek informed me. I smiled and kissed Derek one last time before he disappeared through my window. My heart broke knowing he was leaving but when I looked down at the necklace hanging from my neck I couldn't help but smile. I really did care about Mr. Sourwolf. Part of me just preyed he wouldn't forget how he felt about me.
