-Chapter 3-

Imani's P.O.V

After leaving Journi's house yesterday I couldn't go to sleep at all, I stayed up all night filled with excitement and jitters. Now this morning with what felt like only 5 minutes of sleep I was up and ready to go to school but not before I get my caramel macchiato from Starbucks. I couldn't talk to anybody with out my caffeine in the morning. My mom pulled up to the front of the school, gave me a hug and kiss then left. I took a sip out of my coffee then sighed and walked into school getting ready for another lame day.

"Hey shawty." Kris said looking me up and down biting his lip. I blushed then waved and kept walking. He finally talked to me but why did he chose today to do it, I looked in the hallway mirror to see if too much cleavage was showing but no I was perfectly covered by my red hollister shirt. I turned around to look back at my butt and nope it didn't look any bigger, if anything my black skinnies were bringing the size down a bit. I shrugged it off then went to my locker and took out my biology book , I looked down and saw a pair of Jordans creeping under my locker door and laughed as I slowly closed it to see Kris leaning on the locker next to mine.

"Uhh may I help you?" I asked laughing

"You can start by giving me your number." He replied smirking. I blushed then looked down at my shoes until I came to the realization he didn't even know I existed yesterday or the day before

"Why all of a sudden?" 

"Well.. I been checkin you out for a while now and I finally got the guts to come talk to you." He replied. So he's shy now I asked myself.. I see him talk to girls everyday, even the 'Popular' ones who think they're better than everybody  so why would he be -- and that's when it hit me and Emaja came to mind 

"Don't get too excited, they're just gonna act fake to get close to us! Everybody who gave us dirty looks and didn't like us before are gonna be all on our dicks" I remembered her saying. I then looked up and stared him up and down.

"One question.." I said biting my lip and tugging on his shirt flirtatiously 

"Wassup?"

"What's my name?"  I asked raising my eyebrow

"Uh, girl stop playin you know I know your name!" He said laughing

"Righhhht, excuse me." I said pushing him out of my way and taking another sip of my drink. I can't believe he just tried to pull that bullshit on me!

"Wait.. Dani!" He shouted pulling my arm back

"It's Mani, and I suggest you let go of my arm before I cut yours off, ok pumpkin?" I said pating him on the back with a fake smile. He let me go then stared me down as I walked away and went outside to our lunch yard to find Janice, Journi, and Emaja at our usual table we always sit at in the morning til class starts. When I got outside I saw way more people at our table than it was supposed to be. I raised my eyebrow then got closer to the table where I saw Janice telling people to go away, Journi unwillingly talking to a couple of people, and Emaja annoyed as hell. I simply walked over to a different table and motioned them to come sit with me. One by one they snuck over and made it over to our 'new table' all we were missing was Journi. She tried to slide away when they weren't looking and successfully made it.

"Oh my God.. Emaja you were right." Journi said sighing 

"It would be easier if you just told them to get the fuck away from you" Janice stated shrugging just as Ciara a so called 'popular' girl came and sat next to us

"Why haven't we ever hung out?" She said flipping her hair "I could totally see us all be best friends!"

"Ciara if you don't get your fake ass away from us I swear I will break your neck." Emaja said tightening her fist. Ciara looked at her with a stank face then got up with her hands in surrender mode.

"See you guys later.." She said before walking away

"Doubt it." I said through my teeth

We all gave each other the same look then burst out laughing, we didn't even have to say what were  thinking out loud.

"I can't wait til Thursday." Janice said still laughing

"You can say that again."  I could see her mouth getting adjusted to say it again "But don't! Cause I know you were about to!"  We all started bursting out laughing again and made conversation til the bell rung then headed to class.

Emaja's P.O.V

It was finally lunch time! Me and the girls went down to the cafeteria to get some pizza then headed out to the lunch yard and sat at our 'new' table that was already crowded with the kids from this morning, they looked back at us and scooted over making room for us to sit. We looked at each other then shook our heads and went to another empty table.

"I want our old table back!" Journi moaned as we sat down 

"I guess we just gotta deal." Imani said to her

"Ugh, I don't want to deal!." She replied stabbing at her pizza

"It's just for today, we'll get it back tomorrow." I said 

"Oh yeah? How do you know?" She asked in a doubtful tone

"If they don't give it back, we'll make them." I said making an evil smile. We all laughed as they shook their heads at me then continued to eat our lunch.

"Did the UMG guy email us again since last night?" Imani asked

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot." I said taking out my phone and going back to the email "He wants us to meet him at the UMG building or whatever you call it."

"Where is it?" Journi asked. I looked down at the adress and it read

"At.. at.. Atlanta Georgia!" I shouted

"Who in the hell is gonna take us to Georgia from Cali!?" Journi shouted

"That's what I'd like to know!" Janice yelled

This was most definetley a dead end, a brick wall, the edge, the end!
