finding his love

Chapter 4

A couple weeks go by without any fighting from my parents.. which is normal because usually they fight then they're fine for awhile before they fight again. But This morning was bad.

It was 3am and I hear mom yelling at savannah "You're what?!?!?" She yells. I hear savannah crying and saying sorry, then my door opens, it's Elaina, "Come in" i say patting the empty part of my bed next to me, she smiles and crawls in and falls asleep in about 5 minutes.

"I can't believe this savannah" I hear dad say.. he sounded sad. Less angry than mom. "How did this happen?!" Mom yelled again "I didn't mean for it to happen!" Savannah sounded sad, and scared.. I was worried, but I couldn't tell what they were talking about.

I start thinking to myself,

Was she suspended?

Did she get in trouble at school?

Did she cheat on steven?

Did she get caught doing drugs or something?

After the yelling stopped I hear savannahs door slam and I fall back asleep. I only slept 3 hours before my alarm woke me up for school, it also woke up elaina. She hops up and goes to the living room. I get up with her and walk to the kitchen where savannah was sitting drinking her coffee, almost as if nothing happened last night. I pour myself some coffee and as soon as I'm about to ask She says "I want the girls today" I nod and head to Justins room. He was already awake, "have you been awake since mom and dad were fighting?" He nods and plops himself out of bed and zombie walks as he gets ready. It was the normal routine like everyday, Trevor and Elaina go with vannah, Justin and Maria go with me.

As we were waiting at the bus stop Maria looks at me and asks "What do you think savannah did that mad mom so mad?"

I shrugged at her "Lord knows.. it could just be something stupid"

"Sure didn't sound stupid. Mom sounded MAAD" Justin butts in.

"I don't know, let's just drop it and have a good day at school okay guys" I smile, as the bus pulls up.

Today there's a new kid at school. His names Matthew, he's in almost all of my classes, he's tall with blonde hair and blue eyes, braces. "Hi I'm matthew" He says with a smile reaching out his hand,

"Kaitlyn" I smile and shake his hand. "So what class do you have right now?" He asks, "anatomy" I reply with a smile, it's my favorite class! He looks at me with bright eyes and says "me too!" We walk to our classes together and talk in between each one that we don't have together. As I was walking to my bus he hands me a piece of paper with a number on it, "Here text me sometime" He says with a smile, I nod and smile back then get on my bus and Maria mocks "kaitlyns got a boyfriend, kaitlyns got a boyfriend!" "Shut up punk! He's not my boyfriend. Just I friend" I explain winking at her. She giggles.

Once we walk in the door I hear, "finally! I'm going to stevens, I'll be back later, love you guys!" Savannah rushed out the door.

"What's she in a hurry for?" Justin asked.

I shrugged as I handed all the kids a banana, and they sat and watched tv.

Savannahs POV

I walk in the door and hug Steven and start crying.

"Did you tell them yet?" He asks

"I told my parents. It didn't go well. I don't want to tell the kids till I'm 100% sure"

"Congratulations Miss Dawson, you're pregnant!" Says my doctor smiling at me. I look at Steven and then place my face in my hands and start sobbing.

"This wasn't planned, was it?" Dr Lori asked sounding concerned.

"No, no it wasnt, I took the home pregnancy test and I was hoping it was wrong. But it was right and I don't know what to do!" I let It all out.

"I have some support groups, do you want the information packets about them?" Dr Lori asks

I shrug "sure" She helps me up off the bed and hugs me before sending me home.

Once at stevens I just sat on his couch and didn't know what to say.

He looks at me and grabs my hands "Savannah I want you to know I love you. I stopped drinking and doing drugs for YOU. And we're going to raise this baby together, you made me a better person than I was before and I'm so happy you're in my life! I love you, and this little Peanut we made" He laughs. At this point I'm laughing too, and we're both holding my belly.

"I should head home and talk to the kids.. I guess I should let them know"

Steven nods and gives me a tight hug and a goodbye kiss.
