One shot!!

So I'm sitting here thinking, this story hasn't exactly been happy lately... (Sorry guys). I figured that I'd write a nice happy one shot to make up for it.

This is NOT PART OF THE STORY !! It takes place just after Kuvira was defeated and starts at Zhu Lee and Varrick's wedding (when Jinora and Kai were around 14-15 years old).

Third Person POV:

The party was in full swing, people dancing, food being eaten, and everyone rejoicing for not only the happy married couple, but for a new and happier time as well. Everyone was too busy to notice the two young teens, gazing at each other from across the room.

Jinora's POV

He's looking at me, I can feel it. I nervously took a look at Kai, who was looking at me from across the room. Even though everything is finally settling into place, we've been so busy trying to fix up Republic City that we haven't talked to each other for more than five seconds in, well, I don't know how long.
Are we even still dating? The thought fluttered through my head quickly, refusing to disappear. We haven't seen each other in a while, and plus anything we had before that, well we were so young. Did it even count? What if he's just my friend, and this whole dating thing is over?

Kai's POV

God she's so pretty, Jinora I mean. She was standing there in some dress thing looking as gorgeous as ever.
(A/N: I know they were supposed to be in their air bending suits but for the purpose of this story I figured it would be better for them to be in fancy clothes)
Oh god she saw me. Jinora glanced back at me with an interesting look on her face, was it concern? I hadn't even realized I had been staring at her. The worst part is I couldn't even stop, she looked so perfect in the dim light, in this dress that reached just above her knees, with a color almost exactly matching to her tattoos. It was sleeveless, showing off the delicate arrows going down her arms. I still can't believe she's a master, my girl friend.
Here's the problem though, was she even my girl friend? We haven't had a deep conversation in months. What if she doesn't like you anymore?
Is it possible to tell your brain to shut up? She had to like me still, I don't know if I could bear without her next to me any longer. I stole one last glance at her, standing talking to someone, her eyes lit up and laughing with that laugh, and smiling with that smile.

And that's when I realized I was in love with Jinora.

What am I gonna do?

Jinora's POV

I made polite talk with other guests, trying to be extra happy and nice towards everyone. I really just wanted to talk to Kai, he looked so handsome in his suit.
Gah stop thinking about him. I stole a glance at him across the room, and he looked, well, perplexed. He caught my eye and began to blush madly. A light blush rose up on my cheeks when I heard someone talking to me.
"What do you think Jinora?"
I didn't even remember who I was talking to, never mind what they were asking me. "I'm really sorry but if you could excuse me, I have to use the restroom."

Phew! Escape. They didn't even seem to mind at all. I hurried through people, into a smallish garden near by. Ah peace and quiet. I took a quick look around and continued walking, only to slam right into someone.

Kai's POV

Damn it! I slammed right into Jinora, causing her to fall on top of me. We both stumbled over and were lying on the ground. I was just about to help her up, with an apology when I noticed something. She looked well, different. Last time I saw her long enough to get a good look at her, she seemed, well younger I guess. She was curvier now, and her younger looking face had shaped out a bit, looking well slimmer. I think she got taller too, but maybe she was wearing heels?
Never mind that! A blush creeped up on my face when I realized she was still on top of me.
