The Sun Moon and Stars

Let them be like the stars,
Twinkling, Shining, Admired.
But often clouded out by pollution.

I would rather be the Moon.
Cratered, Imperfect.
Surrounded by a world of Stars,
But always shining, even on the darkest nights.

To live, separated and different,
But still lighting up the night sky.
Always there, always shining.

But relying on the Sun.
The Sun keeps the Moon
Shining.
The Sun keeps the Moon
Alive.
The Sun helps the Moon
All the way.

And without the Sun,
The Moon can't be.
The Moon would be
Nothing.
Just a Cratered, Imperfect
Rock.
Floating in a world of
Twinkling, Shining, Admired
Stars,
