"Maya, I promise it will all blow over by tomorrow ," said my Mom handing be a basket full of clothes.
"Ugh, with all this going on you still expect me to do the laundry?" I pouted pouring the clothes on my bed.
"Yes, I do, I also expect you to clean up your room a little bit, and make up with Riley!" She replied and she turned into the hallway outside my room.
I clicked on the tv and put on the 5SOS music station. As I was in the middle of singing into my brush Voodoo Doll I heard a knock on my door
"One sec" I said muting the tv and putting down my brush
I opened the door expecting to see my dweeb of a brother Henry standing outside, but to my relief it was Josh. In case you were wondering Josh is my boyfriend.
I have been dating Josh since I was in 7th grade, I was a Jr. In high school now.
"Josh, what are you doing here. Not that I'm complaining " I said signaling him into my room.
He sat down on my unmade bed and said "I just wanted to make sure you were ok after the whole Riley thing,"
I gave him that mind you're own damn business look and he shot back a bitch please I'm your boyfriend! Your business is my business look.
I really hated that look.
"Josh, I'm fine, I promise." I said attempting an honest look
"I still don't completely understand what happened" he said, he's not the smartest, he's lucky he's funny and cute
"Okay, so for the last time." I said sitting on his lap. "Riley and I were invited to go to this party at Missy's house. I couldn't go because I got in trouble, she told me she wouldn't go either." I said
"And.... What's the problem?" He said still confused.
I couldn't help but laugh a little.
"The problem is..... she went anyway. When I found out she was at the party I snuck out to go bust her, she turned it on me and said I went when I said I wouldn't." I said. I know it's stupid but me and Riley never fight so this is a huge deal for us.
"Okay , I get it." He said.
I didn't think I believed him but I was not going to explain it again.
He looked at me and smiled. I couldn't help but smile back. He's intense brown eyes sparkled against his dark brown hair.
"What?" I said smiling at him.
"How did I get so lucky?" He said smiling back at me?
I leaned forward and kissed him, his eyes lit up like they always did. He was a 19 yr old boy I expected nothing less.
"What was that for?" He asked his eyes still bright.
"Just cuz you're lucky, " I said with a smirk.
"Gross!" Yelled my obnoxious freak brother from the hallway outside my room.
"Ugh! Go away Henry!" I said getting up and shutting my door.
Me and Josh's phones beeped at the same time, probably a hate tweet from Riley or her new best friend Missy.
As he looked at his phone he looked up at me than at the phone again. I was about to check mine when he snatched it from the bed.
He help it behind his back "I can't let you see this." He said rising my phone as high as he could.
I was 5'4 short for average and he was 6' so it was an unfair fight to begin with.
But I had my own weapon. I stood up on my tiptoes and kissed him, for longer this time.
While he was confused about why I had just kissed him I grabbed the phone from his hand.
"Hey that's cheating." He said trying to grab the phone "Trust me Maya I'm only trying to help. "
His words blurred in the background as I looked at Missy's tweet.
Wow, did you guys hear about Maya ditching her own best friend to hook up with a guy at my party?!
If that was all I wouldn't care, but it was everyone's replies that pushed me.

I blinked back the tears. I could feel Josh starring at me with pitty. I looked up to him and he wrapped his arms around me.
"I know this is a dumb question but are you okay?" He asked still comforting me
