Sakura yawns as Erica looks at the ocean, thinking if apples were alive or not.

Tazuna walked, holding something then looked at Sakura and Erica.

"You always this lazy?" Tazuna asked. "Where's the weird blonde kid and the kid with an attitude?"

"Oh. They're training, climbing trees." Sakura answered.

"What? Too tough for you?" Tazuna asked.

"No. In fact, i'm the best. That's why Kakashi-sensei sent me here to guard you." Sakura bragged.

No...I think he just wants you out of his sight for being so useless all the time..., Erica thought.

Tazuna stopped then looked at Sakura.

"You're joking." Tazuna said. Sakura grew an irk mark as Erica thought Drunky isn't as stupid as he seems..

 

A man walked to Tazuna while Tazuna drops what he was holding.

"Tazuna." the man called. "I need to talk to you."

"Hm? What about?" Tazuna asked.

"The thing is.. i've been thinking alot about the bridge. And i've decided... I pushed my luck out. I'm going to quit." the man said.

"Now you're going to quit?! You're kidding!" Tazuna exclaimed.

"You know, I stayed on because of our friendship. But i'm putting my life on the line everyday I stay here. Gatoh and his tugs will show up eventually." the man reasoned. "When they find you, they'll kill you and we'll never finish the bridge, anyway. Why don't we stop now? We still have time to go and be alive."

Sakura looks at them while Erica yawns and closes her eyes, but still awake.

"No." 

"Huh?"

"This is OUR bridge. Our island is poor and it will stay that way until this bridge connects us to the main land. Trades and hope! That's what we're building here."

"Not gonna be much hope if we're all dead." the man muttered.

"It's already noon. Let's take a break." Tazuna said, walking away.

"Tazuna, let's not end it like this." the man called.
