This is Berk

I woke to the sounds of men talking amongst themselves and horses whining. I started to open my eyes and saw a battalion of soldiers walking through a village snow lightly falling in the early winter. "Hey you're awake you alright?" I turned to face a young teenage girl at least my age blonde hair crystal blue eyes. She wore a blue tunic, a leather colored skirt, and coal colored pants. She seemed like she had been knocked around pretty bad. "So how'd you get here?" I asked "Ugh Snotlout got us captured on patrol because he wasn't wanting to wait around and follow our target." " So we got jumped and tossed in here like wild dogs." she said " I'm Astrid and the boy who looks like a dogs breakfast is Snotlout." Astrid said "Agh the berserker rats love to show their power over these small villages." Snotlout said. Suddenly the cage opened and we were pulled out towards the center of the village,"What's going on now?" I asked "What do you think take a good look." Snotlout said "Bring the prisoners forward Lord Dagger wants them dead before noon." A berserker soldier said.

"Curses I promised my baby sister Arie I'd be home tomorrow." I said then a larger berserker soldier scoffed " Well I'll tell you one little secret their isn't a family for you to go back to we burned it after we borrowed you for this." He said, I couldn't believe what he was saying. My family was dead I felt a mix of rage ,sadness, and, the urge my father told me not to have against people, the urge to kill these berserkers. "You..You heartless, coldblooded bastards I'll kill you!" I shouted and that got their attention towards me, as if in a blind rage I grabbed him by the arm and in what seemed like an instant I heard his arm break like a twig.

It stoked me that a kid like him made an attack so lethally effective so fast it shocked me and Snotlout had a more than impressed expression on his face a mix of satisfaction that the bastard got what for. Still he made it quick clean and lethal to his target. What the heck was going on in seconds five berserkers swarmed the kid. I heard a shout of agony as a berserker stumbled to the ground dead in his tracks. The scary part was I didn't know if he'd kill everyone including myself and Snotlout.

As they tackled me to the ground they drug me to what was to be my demise...the gallows three nuces three hangings. I scoffed "So this is how I die at the end of a rope dangling 10 feet in the air." I said as we were walked to the gallows where we would hang by the neck. "Name,hey you got a name boy?" The executioner asked "Angus Carter." I replied and he did the same with Snotlout and Astrid. As soon we were in position they put the ropes around our necks. He moved towards the lever but as soon as we fell a brief hold in the air and the a loud blast that resembled a cannon shot disintegrated the ropes. I had zip time to react before a larger berserker charged me and I prepared to dodge his attack but his attack never came I turned to see him gasping for air as he fell dead on the ground. Behind him a creature I only thought was the stuff of legends. A Nightfury a dragon not much bigger than a large grizzly but way more deadly and agile firing another two shots taking two berserkers out of commission. "Hiccup thank Odin!" Astrid said as she picked herself up off the ground covered in dirt. A young man dismounted the dragon and pulled out a simple knife and cut the rope around her wrists he wasn't much shorter than me in height about 2 inches had brown oak colored hair wore a fur vest and one foot the other seemed of a latch type design metal. "Let's go while these blokes are scattered like rats." Hiccup said as we bolted away towards the trees. I couldn't tell how far we ran and didn't care I just wanted away from the guys trying to slaughter us like dogs. As the dawns first light broke I could see better than earlier that morning. Snow blanketed the trees and ground it seemed to make me forget we were being pursued as the dragon and three other teens bolted past me then dug their feet into the ground to keep from running off the side off into a deep river gorge. "Hey you alright?" Astrid asked as Snotlout took a minute to rest. "Uh yeah I just got sidetracked by the snow it reminds me of home." I said with a relief in tow.

With that Astrid wrapped her arms around Hiccups neck and brought him into a kiss. Obviously I would have took the moment to rest a sec with Astrid reuniting with her boyfriend and Snotlout taking the minute to check his helmet and make a small axe out of vine,stone,and a branch. However Snotlout yelled contact and we ran faster than deer running from wolves it was funny now I saw where they came from when hunters tracked them. "Bloody hell they don't quit do they?" I asked while dodging crossbow bolts missing us by inches. As we hit the clearing the three teens stared at me in horror as I felt the pain set in as I fell to the ground and everything went black.
