Chapter Three
I cursed under my breath. Just why does he suddenly appear everywhere I go now? I hoped he wouldn't notice me. I put my hand to the side of my face and finished the remains of my drink."Uh Brandon let's go now." I said annoyedly.
"Why?" He asked.
"I'm done with my drink. And I want to sleep now."
"Fine. Alright then."
We stood up and I speed walked - practically ran actually - to the door. I don't think Jacob noticed me.
Brandon joined me outside a few seconds later. "Damn you're rushing a lot right now."
"Yeah yeah, whatever. Let's go." I rushed.
So then Brandon sat in the driver's seat and I sat in the passengers seat. He started to drive and I turned on the radio. Coincidentally, my favorite song came on. Which was Sweater Weather by The Neighborhood. Luckily for me, the song just started and I knew all the lyrics. "All I am, is a man, I want the world, in my hands, I hate the beach, but I stand, in California with my toes in the sand..."
The song finished and I sighed.
Brandon looked at me and said, "Nice demonic voice you got there."
"It's angelic. I don't think you know how to pronounce stuff."
He rolled his eyes, and parked in my driveway.
"Let's go to yours." I said.
We walked over to his house and Brandon unlocked the door. He opened it and I ran upstairs and flopped on his bed. I loved the way he styled his room. The walls were painted a matte dark blue. The carpet was white and his desk was a light wooden brown. His bedsheets matched the same color as the walls. Everything in his room worked out with the colors. It was somehow soothing.
I closed my eyes and just laid there. I felt a cool breeze on my face and I opened my eyes. It was Brandon. His face was so close. He smiled. Tiny crinkles met the corners on his eyes - I mean - slits. It was kinda cute.
I pushed his face away with my hand. "Loser."
But there was something about his smile. I knew there was something weird going on.
"Brandon. What is it."
"What do you mean?"
"Spill it."
Suddenly, I smelled a delicious aroma. I smile crept to my face.
"You know what it is now?" Brandon cooed.
I nodded happily.
I prounced downstairs and sniffed in the yummy goodness.
"Dude you actually slept for like thirty minutes." Brandon said.
I didn't recall even sleeping. But I guess I did. "Oh wow." I wasn't really interested in anything else but the cookies.
Brandon smirked and opened the oven. The aroma became even stronger and I had the urge the push Brandon out of the way so I could have them all to myself.
He put on oven mitts and pulled the cookie tray out.
My mouth watered an uncanny amount of spit. It was pretty awesome that two of my most favorite things were right in front of me.
Ten minutes later after the cookies were finished cooling, I dug in.
The chocolatey creaminess entered my mouth. The cookie was soft and warm. Brandon's homemade chocolate chip cookies were the bomb. It's awesome having a chef friend - especially if you're a foodie like me.
"Your welcome." Mumbled Brandon.
I smiled sheepishly between bites. "Thaankkss."
"Ew close your mouth." Brandon said in disgust.
That just made me laugh. Which made Brandon cover his eyes.
"Brandon go eat some of your flame cookies." I said.
"I actually made all of those for you."
He said slyly. He had made a dozen and I already ate two of them in a blink of an eye.
"Yeah but don't make me fat by myself! Be fat with me!!" I exclaimed.
Brandon shook his head.
I pouted and stomped up to him. Just when he was about to say something, I shoved the cookie into his mouth.
Brandon choked and started to cough. His face was priceless actually. It looked like he just smelled fart and then saw a grown man naked. I honestly didn't care. I'm such a great person.
Brandon took the remainder of the cookie out of his mouth. His face was all red. "Thanks so much."
I laughed. "No problem Branbran."
"Elel." He said.
The wonderful world of nicknames.
I put the last few cookies on a plate and sat down on the couch. I motioned Brandon to sit next to me, and he obeyed. We turned on the TV and started switching channels. There was nothing on to watch, so I turned off the TV.
We sat there in silence. I turned my head to look at Brandon, but he was already looking at me. I turned a light scarlet.
I gulped as we kept staring at each other. Brandon looked at me with a calm look, while I was probably gaping at him with a retarded look.
It was a comfortable silence though. I don't know what he was thinking, but my mind was a mess.
"Brandon..." I said before I realized Brandon kissed me.
My eyes were wide open at first out of the sudden action and my surprise.
But I slowly started to engulf myself into the kiss and closed my eyes. My lips moved on their own.
Brandon wrapped his arms around my waist and I held on tightly to his shirt.
After what seemed like 30 minutes, we pulled apart.
I turned deep scarlet this time. On he outside my face was neutral but my heart was screaming in excitement.
"Um sorry..." Brandon said awkwardly.
I shook my head but stayed silent. I didn't know what to say after all.
"I- I love you, Eliana." Brandon whispered.
My heart raced like a NASCAR racer. I felt myself burning.
"I love you too, Brandon."
A/N- lol I think that was too quick. Eh. I'm watching The Visit with mY fraaands todayyyy yeeeey. Anyway. Bye.
