Okay so it's maybe not the best thing to do in the world but maybe I should go to Carly's. You know, i havering talked to her in like 9 years and look at me just walking up to her doorstep. Yup, literally what I'm doing.

I knocked on her doer praying she'd answer it. Oh what do you know she did.

She paused and looked at me for a second, "Parker?"

I couldn't believe she remembers my name, "Hey listen Carly I'm sorry, but my house and my life is really shitty and I need your help I had no place else to go and-."

"Come inside, it's okay." She cut me off.

She grabbed the same hand she grabbed when we were kids. She told me to sit on the couch and she'd be right back. I admired her house. How clean it was, how sweet it smelled. It smelled beautiful just like her.

After about 5 minutes she came back. In her hand she had two things of hot chocolate.

"Drink. It's a good stress reliever, trust me," she grinned with the same beautiful smile she's always had.

I took a sip and looked her in the eyes. "So I haven't talked to you in a while."

"Yeah," she laughed, "Like nine years?"

"Yeah I'm sorry for that." I looked down.

"It was my fault I should've stayed with you not thoes asses," she bit her lip.

There was an awkward silence. We stared at eachother for a bit and drank our coco.

"So are you home alone?" I asked wondering why we're all I hear.

"No my sister ava is napping," she replied. She took a deep breath, "Parker what's wrong?"

"It's just my mom and dad treating me badly. Abusing me. Can, can I stay here sometimes?" I asked.

"Of course," she smiled.

"So, Parker me and my friends were going to go to a fair this weekend, want to come?" She asked.

I smirked way to much, "Okay yeah, I'm in."

Fair day

Once we arrived at the fair all of Carly's friends were making groups. Or partners, something I hated in school.

"I pick Parker." She smiled.

I smiled back and we grabbed a map of the fair. All of her friends ran to a ride. I personally wanted to take it slow. I never mentioned, I'm afraid of heights. She took my hand and happily waked us towards a roller coaster.

"Starting like this? Are you crazy?" I asked laughing.

She rolled her eyes, "Oh come on Parker, have some fun."

We got strapped into the ride. Her friends were all watching from a side perspective. I couldn't believe it, I was on a roller coaster. I'm gonna die.

I could feel my heart pounding out of my chest. She sat there next to me holding on to my hand. I could feel her hand lightly stroking mine. She made me feel better, she made me feel safe.

And with that the cart raced down the track. Going miles and miles per an hour I freaked out. It was going so fast. The loops made me want to throw up. I couldn't take it much longer but she held my hand harder. I felt so sick to my stomach. My eyes couldn't take the cold air rushing into them. I shut them as tight as I could. The ride then went slow, it was the finish.

I opened my eyes and looked into Carly's, her brown eyes looked so gorgeous in the light. Her lips were soft looking, they had light pink lipgloss on them. Her eyelashes looked so long you could get lost in them. She put her warm hands on my jaw.
