Side Effects (Parker's POV)

Chapter 5

"So where exactly are we going Parker?" Carly asked me.

"Well Dallas is probably busy so we're going to my house," I smirked.

"Is it safe?"

I looked at her, "I hope so."

I pulled up at the front parking lot of my apartment building. Ava jumped out of my car and she was holding on to Carly's hand. We walked inside and walked up the stairs to my apartment. I unlocked the door and let them inside. Both my parents were gone. Thank god. Ava sat down and laid on my bed. I took Carly's hand.

"Can I show you something?" I asked.

She nodded and I took her to a room next to mine. It was suppose to be the neighbors but they moved out. There was a door that lead to a balcony that has a ladder. I come here to clear my thoughts and get away from reality. We climbed the ladder and sat on the roof of my building. It wasn't a big building and it was quite cheap.

I took her hand and looked her in the eye. "Do you have a place you go to get away from everything?"

"Yes I have this tree in my backyard," she replied.

"I remember that...you showed me after a little bit." I started to have a flashback.

It was back in first grade. She and I were having fun playing and climbing this tree in her backyard. I remember I climbed most of it and I got to where she was. She smiled at me and helped me up but right when I pulled my self to her the branch broke. I almost fell but she grabbed my hand. I was freaking out. I didn't let go she held on as much as she could.

"I'm never ever going to let go of you ever!" Carly yelled.

I grabbed on the branch beside me and pulled myself up. I sat down next her. I looked into her eyes.

"You know this tree isn't that high, I would've been fine," I smiled.

"I don't care I don't want my Parker hurt," she hugged me.

I looked at her again with the same expression. She looked into my eyes. I could feel something, a strong bond. I've always seen this in movies so why not try it. I got closer to her, she looked nervous but I did it anyways. I kissed her on the lips. She smiled and kissed me back.

We both got off the tree because her mother called her in for dinner. I waved goodbye and walked back to my house. I never forgot this day

I got lost in thought.

"Parker?" Carly got me back to reality.

"Did you know we had a first kiss?" I asked in a quiet tone.

"We did?" she asked surprised.

"Yeah I kissed you sitting in your tree," I smirked.

She started to blush and I knew that was he moment to do what I must do. I looked her in her wonderful eyes one more time.

"I wanna have our second one."

And with me saying that, I rushed over to here and put my hands on her cheeks and kissed her for a few seconds. Her lips were so warm. She was so beautiful. I couldn't believe I was kissing Carly Cassidy.

I pulled away looking at her. She looked at me but then rushed to my face and kissed me back harder and more intense. The kiss turned into a make out session. I didn't want this moment to end. I was in love with her. She needed up on top of me on the roof. After a bit she helped me up.

"Sorry I'm sure a flat roof isn't comfortable," she laughed. I smiled at her and my heart was melted.

"So after that kiss," she paused, "What does this mean for us?"

"I think I means we're dating maybe?" I asked her.

"Wow you suck, what you should say is 'will you be mine?' " she taught me.

"Okay," I laughed, " Carly will you be my girlfriend," I asked.

"Yes I will!" she smiled ear to ear.

She hugged me and kissed me a lot more. We eventually walked down and saw Ava watching tv.

"Ava! Guess what?" I got her hyped up.

"What?" she asked.

"Parker and I are dating!" Carly told her.

We all three celebrated. This was amazing.

I texted my parents and asked them when they'd be home, they said in two days. I'll use this as an advantage. I let Carly and Ava sleep over. Ava was sleeping in the guest room and Carly and I slept in my room.

We got in bed and I rolled over to her side. I wrapped my arms around her and she got closer to me. We fell asleep like this.

The next day at school we wanted to tell everyone. We decided we would at lunch.

I got my food and sat down next to Carly and Mac. Dallas was across from me and Lille and Leah were on the edges. I held Carly's hand and kissed her. Dallas's face got giant.

"No fucking way! You two finally!" he got excited.

"You guys are cuties than puppies, and they're cute as hell," Lille squealed.

"Use protection!" Dallas warned us.

We all laughed and they all cheered. I am dating Carly Cassidy.
