Paper Moon

Do you ever have this feeling

Like a weight on your chest

But at the same time all that weight feels empty

And this hole in your chest cause to sink deeper

And eventually your whole world comes crashing down as you stand as Atlas holding up the sky

Till the moon leaves you in darkness and your alone

With yourself and thoughts

And your thoughts only want to go deeper

And

Deeper

Until your screaming

please stop thinking

So to stop the loneliness

And the voices

You hang up a paper moon

Only to distract yourself in the day

But in your nights

You can see it doesn't shine the

Same way

And the voices keep talking

Reminding you

Of everything

That's missing inside

My heart is no longer on my sleeve

Or in my chest

It's crush on the ground with out a beat

By the paper moon

And you don't know if you can pick it up

so its over

gone

finished

till you pick

up and tear up your

paper moon

and let your heart beat again
