Prologue

The Heishi  had killed my parents in cold blood. Without the Hieshi, my parents would be alive. I would be with them, and everything would be peaceful. However, I wouldn't be here. I wouldn't have met these people who are my family. I would not have over come my fears of not knowing destiny was real.. It is. Destiny brought me here, where I am now. With the man I have no more room in my heart to love more. The family that I can not seem to stay too far away from. Our futures.. Our destinies are intertwined now.

I Nanami, am the Kusunoki Princess and the Guardian of the Three Sacred Treasures. The Kusanagi Sword, the Yata no Kagami mirror, and the Yasakani no Magatami Jewl. These three treasures had set my life path from the moment I was born. My father, Tagato Kusunoki, was the king and finder of Ninjitsu. Due to his skills, the Emperor in trusted him with the privledge to protect these things. He married a woman, Kano Horai, a village maiden from no wealth, but a heart bigger than the world.

From living a life of peace and harmony, I was blinded from the worlds true nature. It was dark and horrid. People who were always spoken of as kind and harmonious, were mysterious and deceiving. I had to learn the hard way, when I witnessed my Parents death.

I lost my memory of them, and who I was. All I knew was I needed to find help, I needed to inform some one of the robbery of China's most sacred treasures. When I had awoken from my fall, I met a man. The name of savior was Goyo. Kindness and Sincerity made this man who he was. I couldn't help but give him my heart. Goyo was the very kind of human my parents told me of, and this had a great impact on my growing feelings for him. We wanted to be happy, however Goyo carried a secret greater than imagined. He was a successor to be China's next Emperor. Goyo knew the art of a Shinobi, and he servered a kind man named Yoshitsune.

Our love was not meant to be. It was too perfect to be true. After a war, after a long devastating war, did Yoshitsune leader of Shinobi find out that his brother, Shogun of Japan, was plotting to rull all of Japan and China. This is why Yoritomo struck us. We were at the point of no escape, and Goyo was left with no other choice to return to his homeland and take us with him.

After arriving on Mainland, did we soon leave. Word of Yoritomo's assai nation was heard. The killer was none other than Oda Nobunaga. When all seemed to be over, it wasn't. Oda, had other insidious plans. He wanted the extinction of Ninja. We left to Japan, leaving Goyo behind. It was hard.. but we had no choice.

A rebellion was occurring, and only until left alone did I find out who I really was. I was a leader. I was the Princess of Kusunoki. I was a martyr for Ninja everywhere. When my viewing of the world became lost, I was dragged back into it by my true love, Saizo Kirikagure. I had grown, and I had realized who I was, and who I really wanted to give my heart too. I wanted to be someone that would help build the stories my parents told into reality.. and for a moment, they came to life.

Until the day, when tragic news struck the temple of Iga. It was the moment of change, and the moment of a new arising. Something thought was put to rest a long time ago. The Heishi's return is so very personal. Goyo is captured and there is no one to lead China. All will go to chaos, but I know one thing for sure, I will use all my strength to find Goyo!
