Ashley Drowned

This is my story.

My name was Ashley Arlen, I was 22 years old at the time. I was different from the other girls, I was a little shy, smart, kind, sincere, quiet, brave, strong, and loved to play video games; watching anime, reading Manga or sometimes CreepyPastas; even listening to music or going swimming and sometimes sleep outside beneath the stars, so I could gaze up at them, when the nights were warm and pleasant.

I would normally stay in my room most of the time, except for when I had to go outside with my mom. I had always loved technology, and I was really smart; to the point that I would help out with computers and such, whenever my mom had trouble with them.

I have my dirty blond hair, which reaches to my shoulders; however, I don't wear it up and never liked to wear glasses all the time, so I would switch them up for contact lenses. I had a few friends though, but I rarely hang out with them, considering I don't talk much; unless it's about any of my favourite subjects.

I'm 5'3 inches, however, being short does have its advantages sometimes; such as being able to fit through small spaces, running really fast while dodging around corners. My eye colour is blue, though my few friends have often said they look tinted purple sometimes. My favourite colour is purple.

I have many game consoles and games in my bedroom, simply because there isn't really a game I haven't played, or even a console I haven't played them on.

One day, I had decided to go out, and look around the shops so I went to Game X-change, a local store in my area where you can buy, sell and even exchange things, and I had gone there on this particular day to buy something. That is when I had noticed a particular game cartridge with 'Majora' written in black ink upon front of the cartridge; so I went to the counter and asked the store clerk if I could purchase this particular game. However, she never really answered me, but she did allow me to just have the game for free, saying something about not even recalling having this game in the store; I didn't even argue with her, so I thanked her and then left the store and returned home.

However upon returning home, I noticed that the entire house was quiet, and it was then that I noticed that my mom was still at work for at least another few hours; so I went straight up to my room to set up my Nintendo 64, so I could start playing my new, well old game. As I started up the game, I noticed a file already saved on the cartridge memory named BEN. I was tempted to load it, but I had read way to many CreepyPastas to know better, so I left it alone and created a new file for myself to play.

I was however, a bit annoyed that it glitched a lot, the fact that the statue of link kept appearing behind my character every now and then, like literally every time I took several steps it would be there; I was beginning to get annoyed with the Elegy of emptiness. Though it seemed that the game never even noticed, or it did but failed to correct itself which just bugged me more. I also began to hear a dark sounding laughter within the TV, as I sat and just simply stared at the screen, in the end I decided to turn everything off, and head to bed as it had already gotten late.

Then suddenly there were strange things happening to me, over a long period of 4 months. I kept having nightmares about a boy being drowned, even myself being pulled into a lake to join him; I would sometimes also see two glowing red eyes at night, almost as if someone's watching me. I have also been having weird conversations with Clever-bot on my laptop, then again last night.

I had not long finished eating, and helped with washing the dishes, I then thanked my mom for dinner; like I did every night she cooked and went up to my room. I then began changing into my purple night dress as Clever-bot suddenly appeared on the blank screen of my laptop so I hurriedly finished getting changed and sat down and spoke with it.

Me: What do you want? Clever-bot: You haven't been playing the game lately Ashley.....why? Do I scare you all the time? Me: No, it was starting to creep me out BEN. Why are you doing this? Clever-bot: I drowned and because I wanted to, plus you will be meeting with a terrible fate soon, princess. Me: Yeah right. Like I'm gonna believe that. Clever-bot: YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE DONE THAT!!!

The laptop then suddenly shut down on its own, as BEN suddenly appeared upon the black screen, wearing what looked to be a Link costume; he even had red eyes which blood seemed to be dripping from, right from the depths of the sockets. He then, out of nowhere pulled me towards him with what seemed to be a dark smirk touching his lips; while I screamed out in fear, as he began laughing before forcefully with a smirk, dragged me through the screen, and taking me to the lake; just like the one in my nightmare.

Once within the lake, he gave me two options: Live with him or be trapped in the lake forever alone. I picked the first choice because I didn't want to spend eternity along, so he began pushing me down beneath the water's surface, further underwater before he leaned toward me; and bit into my neck deeply drinking my blood, as if he were a vampire; though it also seemed as if he was marking me as his property.

He then pulled back before chuckling darkly at me

"You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you Ashley?" he questioned while staring deep into my slowly closing eyes.

I took one last gulp of air, though it ended up being a gulp of water and began sinking further into the water, and ended up drowning; as I entered into the dark abyss.

I remember waking up what felt like a millennia later, as I noticed something strange about myself, and so I glanced around until my eyes landed upon a small hand mirror beside me, so I grabbed it and gazed at my reflection with a startled gasp. My eyes were a lighter shade of blue to the point I could see lilac flickering within the light, no longer needing to wear my glasses or contact lenses, as I noticed I could see better; my hair was a lighter shade of blond, and like Ben, I felt I had new abilities, such as being able to hack into things, haunt any Legend of Zelda games I liked and help him drown people.

My new power I noticed is electricity. My new name is Ashley Drowned and I fell in love with Ben, the one who drowned me, yet I had forgiven him and now I lived with him.

Before I end my story, I have one thing to say any victims of mine, before meeting your ends, you will only hear one small sentence, and then you will remember nothing as I bring you to your death: "Your fate is now sealed!"
