'Wow.. and she always looks so happy..' Eric thought to himself. It was true that Maya was always a ray of sunshine, but she told the story as if it was nothing. Well it was to be expected, why would you miss someone you've never met?

"Now it's your turn!" She said cheerfully, also curious about his past and why he lives alone. She always wanted to ask but she never found the right time.

" W..What?" He was too deep in thought that he didn't notice that she said something until she nudged his arm.

"Your family."

"Ah yes.."

Flashback in 3rd person view (A/N: A flashback takes aroud 3 minutes.)

In a house that occupied a family of 5, lived Eric and his little brothers including his parents of course. They were a normal family, a pretty happy one at that. Of course the brothers would have some fights but that's how brothers are. The whole family were healthy so there was no danger of illness.

One day they were supposed to go to a baseball game but Eric refused to go since he never took a liking to baseball. You see, his family has a history in baseball which he never took a liking to. While his family went to the game, he stayed at home playing some Dead space 3. When he got bored he turned the news on. He was shoked at what he saw. His family were involved in a car crash and they were unconscious. He was stunned, he couldn't think straight. After he learned at which hospital they were at, he rushed to there as fast as he could.

When he arrived , he asked the nurses in which room his family were in. The nurses exchanged a quick glance at each other and started to explain to Eric that his family were no longer 'assigned' here. "Why is that? " Eric asked. The nurses started to explain that his family... didn't survive the car crash. The boy couldn't move, he was sure he misheard what she said. "Could you repeat that." . The nurses repeated the same thing. After that , Eric went to the bank to withdraw some money so he could leave this place. And hopefully also leave the memories behind.

End flashback

"Well?" Maya has waiting patiently for Eric to start talking.

"...My family.." "My family and I.. are rather normal. I ha-have two little brothers that fight alot. Which is normal in our household. Nothing much to say." He lied. He didn't want to start talking about that. He was not yet ready.

"Then why do you live alone?" Still wanting to know the answer to her question. She knew she was pushing the subject too much but he brought it up, she's naturally a very curious person.

"My father thought it would be good for me if I started to learn to take care of myself.." He wasn't exactly lying, if he was alive now he would've made the decision to send his son off to explore the wonders of the world.

It was getting rather late, both of the young adults didn't notice the time fly buy. Ending their little chat session Eric proceeded to walk Maya home.
