Chapter 5 : College

Sorry for the long update >.< I kinda was lazy and tried to find some insperation....... this chapter is kinda like a true story .... a miserable one.......

This is not an update but more of a correcting session, I might and I mean just MIGHT continue this story. I'll post a little chapter in the coming weeks or even tomorrow so please send feedback if you have enjoyed so far.

Summer ended. A new semester has started. This is the last year i'm studying in this college. While I was looking at the board to find out in which class I was gonna be, suddenly I feel a hand on my shoulder. As I turned around to see who was the owner of the said hand, I fell onto a familiar face.

There stood a tall man. He had dark short hair, soft brown eyes, tanned skin, strong arms and his face plastered a kind smile. He looked really familiar but I couldn't remember where I saw him..... Then it hit me.

"Eric?!?" I asked surprised that we were in the same college. If I recall, I don't remember seeing him last year. And I know everyone even if I don't hang out with people much.

"Maya! We're in the same class!" He stated with a grin.

"W...What? Aren't you supposed to be a year older than me?"

"Yes actually, I am"

"Then why are we in the same class?!?"

"What? I thought you would be happy to hear that, you're saying it like you didn't want me to be in your class" His facial expression fell as finishing his phrase.

"No no no! It's not that!" I was practically flailing my arms around. "I'm just curious thats all..."

"Well actually I was sick for the whole year last year" He stated indifferently.

"HOW CAN YOU GET SICK FOR A YEAR?!?" I shouted, too preoccupied in the shocking revelation that I have just heard to notice that I was getting some wierd looks from the people around me.

I excused myself for shouting and went back to listening to Eric. While he was sick his neighbour, James looked after him. The only time he got better was when summer started so he couldn't really go to school then, and for some reason summer school didn't accept him in. So the college decided that he will go back a year instead of advancing.

He finished explaining his story and by now it's already lunch time. I didn't expect that story would be that long. I went to take a seat. But when I sat down, the worst possible thing that could ever happen to you at school happened to me. Thats right, I sat on a piece of gum. How embarrassing! Did I mention my college has a uniform? It's just a shirt with the college logo on the top right and a normal black skirt.

While I waited for lunch to end so I could go to the bathroom unoticed, Eric noticed that something was wrong.

"Are you alright?" He asked, worried as to why I was quieter than usual

"well uh... You see....." I started to say, not really knowing if I should tell him. Then I spotted his jacket on the chair. While I was about to grab it, he predicted my mouvements and snatched the jacket away from me.

"I'll give you the jacket if you tell me what's wrong." He stated, determined to get the answer.

"I ..........I sat on a piece of gum" I answered quietly and shamefully not wanting others to hear, I turned slightly red from embarrassment. He handed me his jacket without questions after that.

"You know... You shouldn't be embarrased.. It happens to people." He said trying to make me feel better.

And then I spent the whole day with Eric's jacket around my waist. Today there weren't any classes as to let the transfer students or freshman have a look around. When I got home I quickly changed into my PJ's knowing that I won't be going outside for the rest of the night. I wanted to give Eric his jacket back first thing in the morning. While I was holding the jacket in my hands and thinking about some scenarios, I feel asleep. I dreamed about Eric and how safe I feel around him. I grew to like the way he smell's..
