Koritsi woke up at six in the morning. She was used to waking up early each morning and that hadn't changed.
She crept out of bed, careful not to wake the other girls, and grabbed her uniform.
It was a white, button-up shirt with a green and silver tie - Slytherin colors - and a black skirt with knee-high socks.
Koritsi changed quickly and pulled on her black boots
and open cloak. She stuffed her wand in her pocket and grabbed her school books.
Tiptoeing through the girls dormitory, she snuck out into the common room and was surprised a couple of others were up, too. Most were talking quietly to each other near the fireplace.
Koritsi left the Slytherin common room and headed to the Great Hall.
There were a few people eating already so Koritsi plopped down at the Slytherin table. She had a light breakfast - she was still full from the other night - and took out her schedule.
Koritsi groaned inwardly. The schedule looked way more complicated then it should. She didn't know where half the classes were. How was she supposed to get where she needed to go?
She felt someone sit next to her and she jumped, startled. It was just Malfoy.
Koritsi scowled slightly. "Wha'da ya want, Malfoy?"
"Merlin's Beard. Nothing to get upset about. I'm just eating breakfast." He replied, smirking. Honestly, was he ever not smirking?
Koritsi looked around at all the empty seats, pointedly. But Malfoy wasn't paying attention, he was inspecting each apple thoroughly. Finally, he picked a flawless, green apple and bit into it.
Koritsi looked down at her schedule. She didn't want to, but who else could she ask? No one else she knew was up yet.
"Hey, Malfoy?"
Malfoy looked up, and she pointed to her schedule.
"Can you help me read this thing?"
Malfoy's smirk widened and he took it from her. "A friend of Scarface, needing my help? Well, I always knew it was inevitable but not quite so soon. Or that'd they'd admit it."
Koritsi rolled her eyes. "Just tell me where and what my classes are, Malfoy."
Malfoy looked over it carefully. "Well you have mostly the same classes as me..."
"Oh, yippee." Koritsi muttered.
"... Your first class today is Defense Against the Dark Arts and then Potions. There's Divination after that then you have Lunch. And your last classes are Care of Magical Creatures and then Arithmancy - same as me for all of them except Divination and Arithmancy." Malfoy continued. "Ugh. Did you hear? We have a new Defense Against the Dark Arts -or D.A.D.A - teacher this year! ...Oh yeah, you didn't know any of the other teachers... Well, anyway, that mangy fleabag, Professor Lupin is teaching it this year. If you can even call him a Professor. With those rags, he's probably some bloke Dumbledore found on the streets. Dumbledore always has been the worst thing that's ever happened to this place - unless you count Potty and Weasel and that filthy Mudd..." *cough*, "Granger. Oh, you just wait till my father hears about that Lupin fellow. He'll have a fit!"
"What's wrong with Professor Lupin? He's not bad at all! Just because he has patched up robes doesn't mean you have the right to pick on him, Draco Malfoy!" Koritsi said defiantly.
More people came flooding into the Great Hall for breakfast. Among them was the girl with the pig like face from the night before. She scowled at Koritsi, strutted to the Slytherin table, and made herself comfortable on the other side of Malfoy.
