Chapter Five
Ryan leads me to our favorite place in the gym, and we kiss passionately. We’re not under the bleacher, but beside them so that if anyone were to walk into the gym, they wouldn’t see us. Ryan tangles his hands in my hair and kisses me harder. I pull away a few moments later to catch my breath, but Ryan leans forwards again trying to kiss me.
“I have to breathe Ryan!” I say to him giggling.
“I don’t care.” He says without emotion. My heart drops and I take a step backwards. He takes a step towards me and pushes me against the wall. “I’m tired of never getting my way. You always say stop, but this time I won’t.” He leans his head down again, but I turn away.
“I thought you loved me? You gave me a part of you!” I scream, anger surging in my veins
“Yeah, I can’t believe you and your mom believed that! In the middle of the surgery they said that they could fix it without needing a transfusion. They woke me up before they took the blood they needed.” Oh my god. He lied to me? I was thinking that he was the best thing to ever happen to me, and now he’s going to try and rape me? I don’t fucking think so.
He brings his mouth to mine and kisses me roughly. I allow him this so that he would be distracted. I carefully take my phone out of my pocket and send a text to my number 1 speed dial, which happens to be Jaylen, they guy that tried to rape me on my first day here. We have become good friends since my accident, but a couple of days ago Ryan told me I wasn’t allowed to talk to him anymore.

HELP! Gym, by bleachers!
I hit send and proceed with trying to stop Ryan from taking my shirt off. He smacks my hands away and holds them in one hand while he takes my shirt off with the other, leaving me in my pink and black bra, shivering against the coldness of the gym.
“Don’t worry; I can help warm you up.” He says breathing into my neck and placing his hands on my waist. He moves his hands to the zipper of my pants and I scream. I’m a virgin and this is not how I’m going to lose that title. His hands cover my mouth and he glares at me. “Don’t scream!”
“Oh so you want me to just stand here quietly and let you rape me?” I ask sarcastically. I sound fearless, but right now I’m scared. Talking to him distracts him, so that’s what I’m going to do.
“I’d prefer that, yes.” He answers and pushes himself against my body, so now I can’t move. “It’ll be over in a few minutes, just relax.” Yeah like that’s going to happen.
“I think you should get away from her.” A voice says from behind Ryan. His head whips around, giving me a clear look at my savior. Jake Leyland. Why isn’t Jaylen here? How did Jake know where we were?
“Back off Jake, were not doing anything wrong.”
“Since when is raping someone not wrong?” Jake asks, looking like he’s ready to punch Ryan. As soon as Ryan turns around to face Jake, I run out from behind him and out of the gym. I look back to see if either of them are following me, but they aren’t. I turn back around and run straight into someone and fall on my butt. I look up to see Jaylen take a few steps backwards, then reach down and help me up.
Jaylen’s P.O.V.
Sitting in English, my least favorite class, I’m wishing I had some reason to get out of here. All of the sudden, my phone vibrates in my pocket.
To: Jaylen
From: Beth
HELP! Gym, by bleachers!
Shit! I raise my hand.
“Mrs. Jessie, May I be excused?” I ask impatiently.
“What for?” Think! Something simple, but can get me gone for a few moments.
“I need to get sick.” I say clutching my stomach.
“Go to the restroom!” She tells me and practically pushes me out of the classroom. I run down the hallway towards the gym, when someone flies into me, causing me to stagger backwards. I look down and see Beth sitting on her butt, looking up at me. I reach down and help her up. Gosh, she’s beautiful.
“Beth, what was that text about?”
“Oh nothing much, Ryan just tried to rape me.” She says sarcastically until the last part. It’s then that I realize she isn’t wearing a shirt.
“I’ll kill him!” I say as I take my shirt off and pull it over her head.
“No! Take me home please?” She begs me. I sigh and nod. All I can say is Ryan better watch his back.
