EPILOGUE: Giovanni woke to the bed being bounced on. He cracked open sleep hazed eyes to see his two little boys jumping up and down on the bed wearing gleeful excited grins. The smiles of his sons were infectious to him and he couldn't help his mouth turning up into a smile as he let out a low growl and sprang up from his pillow to grab them both and pepper kisses on their faces as his fingers tickled their ribs gently, but enough to make giggles cackle out of the two little boys.

"Daddy! Stop!" Antony giggled out and Marcello nodded his agreement as they both squealed with laughter.

Giovanni let up, grinning.

The two boys got up and continued their bouncing.

"Happy Birthday!" They all but screamed and warmth swelled in Giovanni's heart as he stared at his two sons.

They were both five years old, twins. They had Giovanni's dark black-blue hair and Natalie's sparkling emerald green eyes.

"Mommy wanted us to come get you for breakfast!" they said and he smiled, thinking of his wife, the love of his life.

Now that the boys brought it up the smell of bacon and sausages stroked his nose and his stomach growled.

The boys let out a giggle as they jumped off the bed and ran out of the room and Giovanni stood, stretched and pulled on a white T-shirt with his blue and white striped pajama bottoms. Running a hand through his hair, he began making his way down to the kitchen-the smells getting stronger as he approached the kitchen and dining room, making his mouth water.

Today he turned 42, which most people probably weren't too excited about, but he felt nothing but happiness with the life he had now.

He no longer worked as the mafia boss, but still had a lot of money that he inherited from his mother. His father had given him money when he passed, too, but Giovanni didn't want a penny of that monster's money so both he and Natalie gave it to charity.

He stepped into the large kitchen that had a big dining room table inside and his eyes took in the plates of food on the table.

Crispy bacon laid out on a paper towel, maple sausages, pancakes with softened butter and warmed maple syrup, fruit salad sprinkled with sugar and glasses of fresh squeezed cool orange juice.

He grinned and his eyes moved away from the feast that sat on the table to a whole other feast. His wife, his mi amour, Natalie stood over the stove with a wide smile on her lips as she reached down to caress Marcello's cheek.

She wore her favorite yoga pants that clung to her shapely long legs and a stretchy white tank top that accentuated her growing baby bump. Her long locks were pulled up in a messy bun on the top of her head with loose wisps framing her beautiful features.

Giovanni's chest grew tight.

Oh, how he loved her.

His love for her only grew more and more every day.

Moving silently, Giovanni came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist and laid his big hands on her belly where their daughter was growing.
