“It was a long time ago…

Man had just been created. One form of life could jump high, and they called themselves Haru, which means Jumper. The other people tried to jump as high, but they couldn’t. They called themselves Humans. The Humans and The Haru looked exactly alike, and carried all the same traits.

As time went on, the Haru found new hidden traits, but the Humans were unable to do these things. They were weaker and not as developed as the Haru. The Haru found that they could run at  faster than a cheetah, were stronger than an average human, had mastered combat and fighting skills, and had incredible eyesight. Their certain traits such as speed, strength, and incredible eyesight could only be used for short periods of time, otherwise the Haru could pass out and possibly die. The Haru's eyesight allowed them to zoom in on objects that were not visible to the human eye.

The last trait the Haru discovered was a mental power. It was very life draining, and only few could use it to its full potential. It allowed them to predict the future and adapt to foreign material and situations. Because the power was so draining to most, it was never used, except for the few people that could use it inconsequently.

The Haru and Humans were friends for many generations to come, they came up with brilliant ways to survive, and they never fought  against another.

The King of the Haru, Aren the Brave, had two sons. Their names were Libian, which meant Light, and Sirath, which meant Sand.

The brothers were very close, and they enjoyed wandering Earth, seeing all of the world. During this time, seeing the humans and their dominance over the Haru, Sirath started to think selfishly.  He wondered why the Humans ruled Earth when they weren’t as strong, smart, or powerful.  He decided that Humans were useless creatures. Sirath wanted to rule the world. He wanted the Humans to be nonexistent so the Haru could rule.

Once, Sirath and Libian were walking the land when they stumbled upon an injured Human.

"Help me, please." The man cried, a large wound in his leg.

Libian walked without hesitation over to the Human. He tended to the man, while Sirath stood on the sidelines, staring with hatred at the human. ‘Come help me, Sirath.’ Libian said.

'Why would I help it?' Sirath ridiculed.

'It's the right thing to do, you know this. Come, help him.'

          ‘No.’ Sirath replied with disgust.

‘What is wrong with you?’ Libian said, confused and hurt.

‘I refuse to help them because they repulse me.’

Libian walked over to Sirath, ready to slap him, but instead he confronted how rude Sirath sounded. 'You better shape up. What is wrong with you? The humans have always been loyal to us, we must be loyal to them.'
